Parking at the lodge is limited and cannot be guaranteed. When the car park is full up, guests can park on the street. It is free to park on the street from 18:00 until 08:00 every day and all day on Sundays.
Please note that Amber Lodge does not have a lift.
There are 14 rooms, including double, twin and triple rooms, which have one double bed and one single bed.
Many rooms have scenic views of Lough Atalia and the Clare Hills.
Each room is bright, comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the attractive rooms are well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base.
Situated close to the very centre of the city, Amber Lodge is also within easy reach of all that Galway has to offer. The city’s shops, pubs, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance, as is all of Galway’s vibrant nightlife.

Proximity to Galway citty - everything was within a short walking distance I booked two rooms for myself and 3 family members. The bedrooms and bathrooms were quite small. One bedroom had a shower that was separate to the bathroom so guest had to either dry off in the bedroom itself or walk through the bedroom to get to the small bathroom to get dressed. Also, the staff were not very friendly (not rude but not friendly/welcoming either) |

free internet access and it was onlt a 5 minute walk from galway city The rooms were very small and the beakfast was limited to a fry-up.I feel there should have been fruit included for vegetarians.The staff were very unfriendly and we felt like we were in their way which shouldn't be the case.It was also terribly bad avlue for money and should only have cost half the price that it did to get value for your money |

yes the staff were very rude and abrubt- made out like we were an interuption - did not tell us there was a lounge or a hot tub or where the breakfast room was - felt very uncomfortable to stay there |

the room was tidy and clean and the staff was friendly, the lodge was very close to the town even when everything was clean and nice the room was very small, I had a double room which I used by my own. I think for two people it would be too small. There were no dressers, no table ( I used the window sill instead). It's ok for one person for a short stay of one or two nights but I wouldn't recommend it for longer. The town is within walking distance which makes the lodge suitable for a short shopping trip |

It was an easy walking distance to the town centre. The staff were accomodating. The room and breakfast were fine, not great, tiny room but clean and comfortable and perfectly fine for just sleeping in with how close it is to town. |

thought it's proximity to the city centre was great...5 min stroll and you're in the heart of the city! room was a good size and decor was nice...very reasonable price...would definately stay again in the furture! also free parking at front. the ensuite was very small! this didn't matter much as we were only staying one night. there is no way two people could fit in the small space but besides this it was great!! |

The distance from Eyre Square The room was pokey and smelled of stale smoke. It was at front and had a bay window which was used as a smoking area by staff + customers.Room was cold at night. It was in an insanely noisy spot. Constant loud traffic as it was literally on the main road. I was awoken on the Monday Moning by drills.I Had to pay extra fo the breakfast even tough it was classified as a b and b Breakfast and it was V. dry. The basic amenities I was told I would have in the room such as T.V./D.V.D. Player were not there,no hairdryer either. I had to ask for soap and shower gel as they were empty, they said they had none and were awaiting an order. When I kicked up they found some from another room for me.would not recommend!! |

Stayed in one of the chalet rooms. It's a great little area of rooms, brightly painted, set around a decked area containing a hot tub. It would be perfect for a big group of friends. The girl on duty during our stay was really great- so friendly and helpful. Beds v clean. Ten min walk to Eyre Square- perfect. |

The room was fine but very cold It exceedingly noisy as it is on a very busy main road with no screening for noise. Also the walls were very thin so I was woken throughout the night with other guests coming in. |

Staff were friendly and helpful, location was so close to city centre, perfect for a quick visit to Galway. The noise in the morning was my only complaint, there was alot of activity from 7am so no lie in's that morning. |

excellent location, staff were lovely very helpful, breakfast was exceptional kept me going all day while i shopped. very close to all the shops without all the noise & hustle and bustle of a city. rooms were spotless, have stayed there 3 times now, and will definately stay there again without a doubt |

great stopover place. Was on busines in Galway and chose amberlodge due to the location. was very grateful that the staff allowed me to check in very late "after midnight". next morning was greeted with a smile and a hearty breakfast |

wonderful great location only 5 minutes walking to the centre of galway. Our room was comfortable and the b+b owners were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast again was great. We will come back to AmberLodge next time we are in Galway. There was nothing bad to say |

I found the Amber Lodge to be a nice surprise it was very clean not only our room but the whole place, The room was a lovely size and very comfortable, it is very close to Eyre Square about 5 mins walking which and the girls there were very nice and helpful I have no negatives to say about Amber lodge |
