The price for value disappointed us 4 very much. We were brought to the backyard of the house were the guest rooms were based. Our rooms were humid, very small and lacked decorative inspiration. The breakfast was served without any love for detail (i.e. only instant coffee!). Again, it wouldn't have bothered us too much if the price had been lower!
Breakfast Room and Entrance Area made a good impression, very clean and newly renovated. Very friendly welcoming, lots of information.

Comfortable, affordable, and close to downtown.

Wifi signal kept dropping. Continuously had to reconnect. Tried two different rooms -- in the secondary building and the main building.
Rooms are comfortable and clean.

There was supposed to be Wifi in the room but unfortunately it wasn't working.
The place was nice and clean, close to the center of Galway and to the coach station, it was quiet and comfortable, good price.

Ok,we travel a lot and we stayed in all kinds of places, some good an some not so good. Yet I never felt we needed to leave review. Until now, cause I think people should know what we experienced in the amber lodge. On arrival we wer told that we were staying in the courtyard.that was fine wit us.so we got to the room to put our bags in,quick shower and hit the town. The room was tiny (wayyyyy overpriced),shower didn't have much pressure. But we just did what we had to do and left.got Bak to bed after a few drinks and fell asleep.next mornin we woke up with ANTS ALL OVER US. We had been bitten a number of times.ANTS ON THE BED IN OUR BAGS IN OR CLOTHS.needless to say we just got out as quickly as we could. I'm actually not one for complaining or controversy, plus the staff were very nice, and had guesses with them as we gave back the key, so I didn't say anything and left.but be aware people, the room we wer in was infested with ANTS!!!

The B&B was very convenient to the centre of Galway city centre. Very helpful staff and generally just a well run establishment
April 12, 2015
En suite a bit small
April 11, 2015
Light in toilet couldn't be turned off and one had to wait for 4-5 minutes to get warm water.
Staff and cleanliness is more then ok.
April 10, 2015
Time allocated, wifi was really poor! Would have bought 10gb worth for my phone if I had known
Place was clean compared to other b&bs great value for money

Stupidly small bin for a quad room (sounds like a stupid quibble but just seems silly!)
Good location a short walk from the centre and free off street parking
March 30, 2015
The room was very small, the shower too small and not nearly powerful enough. The bed was pretty hard as well.
The helpful/accommodating staff, free Wifi and location.
March 28, 2015
Size of room .too expensive
March 21, 2015
The room was nothing special. The bathroom was really ugly. That night I didn't sleep because of very noisy neighbours.
the location is perfect! Very close to city centre. Very handy!

Lack of plug sockets in the room.. head boards are broken.. shower is tiny.. and a struggle for anyone tall!.. breakfast wasn't nice at all. Its not worth the price BUT fine place to stay as a last resort and for a very short stay.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Location is perfect and only a few minutes walk from Eyre Square. Its safe!
March 17, 2015
The room is very compact, not enough sockets, had to unplug TV to use kettle, or charge the phone, no extra blankets, room was cold, heating came on as we were leaving to go out, then when we came back at 2.15am the room was colds, you can hear the conversations from guests in other rooms,
Location is good,

Bathroom far too small
March 10, 2015
Not very welcoming arrival, no proper reception, twin room only had 2 plugs I could find, one for lamp, so only one person could charge phone during night. Silly but important! No plug for kettle! Broken light in bathroom. Breakfast costs extra and doesn't start til 8, which was too late for me
Great location, walking distance to Galway city centre

Comfortable & very affordable, within walking distance to city centre
February 24, 2015
Wi-fi was quite slow in the morning - everyone probably checking emails/facebook at the same time. Main light in bathroom was no working, had to use shaving light (which was bright enough to be fair). Shower stayed very cold for a long time then suddenly went very hot, very difficult to adjust. Very small.
Very close to the centre of Galway city, could go out for drinks and walk home not worried about the car, collected it in the morning.
