The owner and staff were lovely. A lovely house in a beautiful setting
The only fault was the breakfast
I arrived a bit bedraggled after a rainy day of walking, and the owner immediately took my wet things and laundered them. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the lounge, outdoor patio and dining room (wonderful books to borrow for my rest day in kenmare!) proved to be the perfect spot to chat with other guests. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, and when II left drove me to a spot on the Kerry Way that took saved me a few miles I needed to knock off that day's walk. Kenmare is the best place in Ireland to take a rest day (not to mention evening!): lots of bookstores, cafes, pubs, music, delicious food...and the house being just a tiny bit outside of town it feels very special. I am happy to recommend this B&B. I was travelling alone, but I saw that younger and older people, families, were all having a fun experience, which made for a lively atmosphere.
Can't think of one thing.
Lovely setting on the edge of a brook.
Convenient to town for eating out. Easy to find off main road. Owner very friendly and full of advice for trips.
We enjoyed sitting outside by the brook.
I would like a bath tub.
Very helpful owner, made us tea upon late arrival. Friendly and welcoming Lovely brook in back.
A bit far from town
What a nice place to stay. Owner gave us lots of helpful information and the breakfast was superb.
Julia was the perfect host, friendly and helpful. The best breakfast we had in Ireland - so nice to have options other than "Full Irish" - the omelette was perfect!
No Wifi in our room, but it was available in the guests lounge.
Very nice, homely, great breakfast, lovely owner and staff, large rooms and bathrooms, in a lovely town.
Very friendly helpful host. Lovely quiet place to stay
it was a very nice B&B we enjoyed our stay lady very chatty and nice we got tea and coffee when we arrived just what we wanted we enjoyed our stay very much mary patrick from london
We were treated like old friends from the minute we walked in the door. Julia greeted us and offered us tea, coffee, and a piece of cake. We had a great time laughing and talking. She sent us to dinner with wonderful recommendations. She alone could give this property a "10." Some of the furnishings are a little dated but the minute you meet this woman, you overlook any of the minor problems. The room and bathroom were very clean. The sound of the river in the back yard was very soothing. This is a perfect place to get the true feeling of Ireland.
Location, friendliness, hospitality of host
Cant think of any
Genuine hospitality Very flexible Beautiful setting on the river banks Great value
GREAT place to start your drive around the Ring of Kerry. Close to downtown Kenmare which is wonderful. Easy, free parking on site. Beautiful creek behind the B&B. Lovely, lush, quiet B&B back from the road. Nicest hosts. Great stay!
Be careful not to bump your head on sloped ceilings in one of the rooms. Other than that, excellent stay!
What a lovely warm and friendly place to stay. As soon as we entered the house we were made to feel at home. The owner is a friendly, kind-hearted woman who runs a clean, bright and cheerful B&B. The rooms were full of daylight, clean and cosy. The location, gardens and total set up was excellent!
This is too difficult and I feel if I wrote something it would only be for the sake of having to write a few words. In other words, there was nothing that we did not like.
Mrs. Julia is always available to fulfill any request. The location is great and it's near to the center town(10 min. by walk). I will suggest to my friends!
Great staff, checked in early and welcomed with tea and snacks. Great stay and location for the area and Bay Hotel events
Julia, place was very comfortable to stay just 5 mins from Kenmare town, which you could walk in 10 mins which was good for us. Her pancake were so good. The ladies were great fun will come again..
beautiful questhose, quiet & peaceful, small stream under the window.. the owner and staff very welcoming, good breakfast. short drive to center of kenmare
Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner, Julia. She offered is tea and cakes, which were served outdoors near the creek. The setting was beautiful. Julia was helpful, friendly, our room was clean an perfect for our family. Wifi was fabulous. Room and location was very quiet.
Beautiful setting --gardens, outdoor dining area on beautiful brook. Very quiet rural setting near town. Very professional, helpful, knowledgeable staff.
A bit of a walk to the town centre, but a small price to pay for the quiet atmosphere.
