location is convenient to city
very small attic bedroom poor value for money weak wifi signal
Only stayed the one night and to be honest didn't really spend a lot of time there but it was clean comfortable and the breakfast was good.
very comfortable guesthouse with very welcoming and friendly hosts; excellent and generous breakfast; quiet environment, and nevertheless only 5 minutes walk to central Galway area
nothing we didn't like
I can't praise this B&B enough, it is friendly, clean and very well run. Quiet and comfortable. Lovely breakfast in the conservatory, good choice of food and generous. Everyone here is keen to make your stay a happy one and there are lots of little things which make a difference. Good location, just 15 mins walk into town. We really enjoyed staying here.
Bathroom was small but not an issue.
Location Breakfast Bed Friendly atmosphere
Low pressure of water in shower Noise from the road
The hospitality, the willingnessto llease. So accommodating. Nice room.stayed inn this family's home. Beautiful garden nice dining area with glass windows. Good breakfast, generous portions.
Owners were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice people
Our host made us feel at home the moment we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was homemade delicious! The Anchor Lodge is a short walk into the old downtown where you will find plenty of old-charm shops and pubs. They also have parking out front which is very handy.
We would have liked to stay another night!
Staff was very helpful and room was very nice and quiet. An excellent place to stay.
Offer the health conscious traveler more breakfast options: wholemeal bread, hot porridge.
The room was large and comfy; the hostess was so helpful and went out of her way to help us; the family members were nice and friendly; it was within walking distance to most things; and breakfast was great!
The bathroom was very cramped but with the large bedroom, we didn't mind it.
The breakfast area. Bidet in bathroom. About 12 min. walk to town center. WiFi worked, download speed ~6Mbps. Car park in front yard.
Detached house in a street tightly packed with similar houses who mostly do B & B. Steep narrow flight of stair to 1st floor. Bathroom tiny, shower doors so tight that a 100 kg person can only squeeze in sideways whereby touching the doors with front and back, shower water pressure in practice not adjustable and very poor. Toilet paper holder disturbs when sitting on the toilet and paper can not be used from a sitting position. Fitted carpet in bed room. No chair, no working desk, instead room cluttered with a purposeless sofa and 2 low, small tables. Simple Irish breakfast with no fresh fruit salad, no strawberries only some fruits. 27C in June, no air conditioning therefore, windows to busy street kept open to ventilate and quiet only from midnight to about 6am.
Location. Good size room. Very helpful hosts and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.
Not a thing, all good.
The location was fantastic..very near the City center. The breakfast was pretty good too. The couple who run it are really nice.
The walls were paper thin; we could hear lots of activity coming from downstairs early in the morning. The couple who run the B&B have just recently had a baby so there was some crying. I have kids myself; however, I just get the feeling that they only run the B&B for money (which is fine). But since you're providing accommodations to people on vacation, I expect a little more for the price. Compared to other B&Bs we stayed in in Ireland, this was our least favorite.
Vey comfort and easy access to town.Quiet,we were away from the road.
Easy to find, staff was really friendly, first time using an electric shower, great breakfast in the morning!
I was injured and the lady Edwina who runs the place looked after me very well including calling an ambulance, visiting me in hospital and shifting me to ground floor room at her mother's B&B DD own the road. They are lovely people and looked after me as if I was family
staff and location
walls were too thin
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location near centre. Good parking.
Very nice staff ; breakfast is good. Possibility to park directly in front of the guest house. City center is a 5 minutes walk away
Soundproofing may be improved
Gary, Edwina and Tommy were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and we loved the dinning area. Close to everything and the room was very comfortable.
Very friendly people and nice, simple rooms.
Nice owners, nice room and good location walking distance from the city centre
The owners were very helpful and friendly and were happy to show us the most interesting places of Galway on the map.The full irish breakfast is freshly made and there's enough!
During the night the light in the hallway stayed on and the light came into our room, so i had to go and put it out myself. You could hear people talking in the hallway as well.
