We ordered dinner from the restaurant to be delivered to the apartment as we were in a hurry to get away and there was a fab view of the park and river from our balcony as we got ready. The rooms were spacious and very comfy so it felt like we were staying in a hotel. Cant wait to stay again
Nothing - whole experience fab!
Endless pots of tea and breakfast! Old part of hotel is amazing Great wedding food Great wedding staff, very professional amd courteous Breakfast staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful or accommodating
Noisy bathroom fans Noisy water pumps No proper mattress for baby cot
Very spacious apartment, pity we were only there for one night. Breakfast was delicious, great selection to choose from.
I phoned up to get an extra blanket as I had come home feeling unwell, however the reception was "too busy" to bring one up.
Very roomy apartment. The bed was very comfortable, great nights sleep. Breakfast was fresh, hot, tasty and plentiful. Staff were very nice and helpful. I loved the noisy, quirky lift, it had character. Enjoyed my stay and it was great value for money.
The cold shower in the morning.
The beds were uncomfortable which left both my husband and I with sore backs and necks tve next day. Everything else was fantastic.
The space! Plenty of it and therefore no cabin fever.
Fantastic breakfast lovely staff large rooms
room by lift was very noisy plastic undersheet
Could do with some wine glasses in the apartments and a bottle opener ;)
We arrived early for a three night apartment stay ,staff were brillant from front desk to breakfast and dinner ,always smiling and prepared to go the extra mile to keep everyone happy . Food was good and everything was clean and very comfortable ,good value for money ,we will be back again
The Tv. had limited stations and reception was not great on what it had ,but that is only a minor problem . Some broken glass bottles, litter ,etc. near to lift access ,should have been cleaned up quicker ,especially as there were alot of young kids staying at that time .
The hotel was beautiful amazing views and the food was to die for , the staff were so friendly the hotel it's self was stunning I would highly recommend people to stay here
location great food was fab
A spacious apartment with very good facilities. A very good breakfast. pleasant staff.
The water was cold in the shower room, so cold shower was had! The access from the underground carpark was a bit eerie.
The aparment was clean we arrived early 3hours before check in and were able to get into our room. The food was also really nice and very good value for our money
It was very noisy with drunk people shouting all night and we found it hard to sleep
Everything - especially the quirky lift! Breakfast excellent, recommend the tapas - really good!
Nothing to dislike
views from the window comfortable beds and sofa
the fact of having no cooker, microwave is really not enough
Good value for money. Very comfortable and we had a lovely view .Staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent and served up to11am which was brilliant so we could have a lie in..
The only thing I didn't like was there was only room for one bed in the 2nd bedroom. I would have liked at least two .Otherwise perfect accommodation.
Wonderful staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartments are clean, spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The location was easy to find.
The food in the restaurant was delicious. Cocktail class was fun and great value for money. The hotel had a band playing for us on the Fri night which was greatly appreciated as they don't normally have live music on a Fri. Dinner was booked for us in a seperate room and the table was beautifully decorated.
The apartments were advertised as "self-catering" but when we arrived we were very disappointed as there was no cooker or oven. We had to serve 15 people using microwaves. When we complained to reception we were told that if we had requested a self-catering apartment, they would have provided one. Self-catering is what phase used to describe the apartments. We found mould on one of the bed sheets-again said it to reception and told us that they don't launder their own linen but that they would mention it to household staff. We also had to ask 5 times for our rooms to cleaned on the Sat, twice in person and 3 times over the phone. It took them until 7pm that evening to do it.
No cooking facilities really . No hob even though space ad facility for it. Minor detail though. Loved apartment
We had an apartment and it was very spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have a balcony also. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Nice pub across the street (the bar at the hotel was weird).
Front desk staff is not very friendly. The car park is awful. Breakfast is OK at best - buffet. One day we got there with a half hour to go to the end of breakfast and there was no food left. They did graciously cook us a full Irish though. The kitchen is not well equipped though. It wasn't a problem for us as we weren't cooking but could be for a family. Could have used a kitchen towel or some kitchen roll though. Bit cheap on this type of thing.
The staff were wonderful, from the lady who ensured the weary travelers were fed tho the kitchen was shut, to the breakfast staff who allowed us relax over a 2 & half hour chat in the dining room, to the receptionist who turned a blind eye to a slightly later check out. Local characters with local knowledge and a true sense of hospitality!
Staff very friendly and helpful and apartments spotless and towels changed daily. Good variety of food at breakfast. Great location - very central for travelling to surrounding areas plus Mullingar itself is quite a big town Plenty to do around the area for younger and older children/couples young and young at heart! No pool in hotel but one just across the park. .
We booked 2 x 5 bedroom apartments and the small print did mention that not all apartments come with a cooker which is true! One of the apartments had no cooker - problem if you are SC! So if booking any of the apartments - make sure you ask for one with a cooker and I would furhter recommend you bring most things you need for self catering with you (saucepans, few cups/glasses, plates, items of cutlery provided).
Great value for money. Food was excellent. Apartment was very spacious and there was a lovely view over the Town Park.
There was a window in the bedroom of the apartment which faced onto the corridor. Late night guests returning to their rooms and chatting loudly woke me on two occasions. No blame attached to the hotel. Guests could have been quieter!
