This B & B had the most beautiful grounds, spotless room with beautiful sitting area. The breakfast was delicious. Eileen was very welcoming upon our arrival. The chocolates were very much appreciated!!! Also, the tea, coffee, biscuits etc. that were in the room to have as we sat and looked out on the lovely Lough Eske!
Having to leave after two wonderful days there.
Great views. Comfy beds and pillows in spacious rooms. Very clean. Nice relaxed feel with friendly people. Good location for day trips all around the area.
The only thing we would have liked for a longer stay would be a small bar fridge in the room.
The views over lough eske. The tranquility, the hospitality given to us was just so welcoming, warm and so helpful to ensure we had a great stay. Nothing was any bother and it was refreshing to be staying at such a pretty place, welcomed and we both enjoyed our time away. We had our room on ground floor to meet my husbands mobility needs and extra pillows were just great for my husband as he wears breathing mask at night. The walk in shower and very spacial bathroom and room area was such an added bonus and we will most definitely be returning
There really wasnt anything not to like as we couldnt complain about our stay.
The Arches Country House was one of the best places we stayed in Ireland. Morden the owner made us feel very welcome and prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning. The views over the lake were lovely.
The owners were friendly and so helpful. The room was exceptionally luxurious with an amazing bathroom. It was so wonderful after a long day travelling to be able to sit in comfort in a little alcove in front of the window with a magnificent view across the pristine manicured gardens onto lough Eske. To wake up to that glorious view and the magnificent breakfast was a dream.
Nothing..it was all great!
Spotlessly clean Super breakfast with lovely homemade bread Beautiful view Superb host
Needs more specific directions
Directions on how to reach destination. Completely isolated
It was a real home from home, and the rooms was the best that we have ever had whilst staying in b&b. Noreen was the perfect hostess, and the breakfast was 1st class. It has to be worth a visit to experience the view!
Excellent and peaceful location. Just a small drive from city centre. Very clean and well kept premises.
Position, friendly host, view.
A little out of the way and difficult to find.
The size of the room, comfortable bed. Openable windows, the view, cleanliness of room and en suite
The lakeview from driving pass by it was great.
The hostess was somehow not as warm and easy going as to B&B owners. Water from the tap was yellow, although she said it's save to drink, we didn't want to try. Bottled water should be provided. Overall experience is just not as good, I wonder how they get the 4 stars rating?
loved the view over the lake. the bed was comfortable with lovely clean crisp sheets. breakfast was well presented a truly great house to visit
liked everything nothing i did not like
Just a wonderful restful stay all you ask for and more
Loved the country side location overlooking the Lough Eske lake! Very tranquil and home is beautiful, very clean and breakfast was great especially with gorgeous view of lake! Close to Sligo, Derry and Northern Ireland perfect for visiting Dunluce Castle and Giant's Causeway! Stayed two nights but wished we'd been there much longer!
Nothing to dislike!
Beautiful home with a lovely view over the lake. Everything was top class!
Everything, this is one of the best B and B we have ever stayed at. Everything is just spot on. Lovely warm thoughtful host!
The view and outdoor seating. Room was very nice and spacious.
Location Owner personality & friendliness Beautiful, immaculate home Ease of finding Arches from Donegal town with good signposts Lovely breakfast
No electrical plug (except for rasors) in bath Not much room in bath to lay out personal articles
The best B&B we stayed in on our trip
Very nice b&b in a pleasant setting. Excellent breakfast in a pretty breakfast room. Bedroom was fairly large with an average sized bath. This is not necessarily a good place for a short stay as it's out in the country and not so convenient to restaurants or shopping.
Luxurious rooms, beautiful location. Great value for money.
Gorgeous setting on a hill overlooking Lough Eske.
The Arches was probably our favorite spot on our two week trip to Ireland. The room was lovely; the location was fabulous. We will definitely be returning if we can.
