Friendly staff

Very friendly and efficient. Great full Irish breakfast. Family room comfortably slept 6 of us - not many B&B's have rooms for 6. Nice common area too - suitable for a quiet read.

Cold shower, took so long to get warm water. Very noisy guests coming home @ 3.30am.

I don't usually expect to be impressed with a B&B to be honest as I find them all a much of a muchness and really just a necessity if Hotels are full etc. but I was blown away by Ard Mhuire! This is the most refreshingly stylish B&B I personally have ever stayed in! The interior is really lovely and my room and bathroom were spacious and modern. Breakfast was delicious, the breakfast room is beautifully presented with every conceivable choice you could wish for and Padraig is very warm, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely consider staying again even though its out of the city but then it's in a perfect location for a seaside trip during the warmer months (if we ever get them!). So in short, don't hesitate, book it!

I'm only putting this on here as I forgot to tell Padraig about it when I checked out...so just letting you know Padraig that the tap in the sink needs repairing as you can't release the sink water. Also the window frame could do with a bleach as its a bit mouldy,only one side lamp working and the duvet had a couple of stains. Again only saying this as I know the excellent standards would want to be maintained and I'm annoyed I forgot to say it when I was there as I honestly have nothing negative to say despite how it might sound!! So in short, don't be put off, book it!

A little bit out of town, although there is a bus stop only up the road. Bus times every 30 minutes or get a Taxi into Galway, which is not too expensive

the room was very cosy but not over heated which was great. tea+coffee which was lovely after arriving,really big shower,on arrival was taken straight to our room,kevin was very welcoming and loads for breakfast.

It was very convienint for visiting lots of places. Food was good. Rooms very comfortable. First time ever that I did not say I can't wait ti get in my own bed.

Pillows could be better.

Politeness and kindness of the owner. He's always available and smiling. The B&B is clean and very well kept. The breakfast offers a wide range of options included the full Irish breakfast. Being a little far from the city centre it's good too reach by car and there's a secure parking within the premises. WiFi is available for free in the room.

The toilette was a little disappointing because they didn't provide a shower gel or shampoo or they didn't provide any bath mat. But these are only minor issues which don't change the very positive feeling I had during my stay

You need to drive for about 4 km to the center of Galway. If you have car that is not a problem but if you haven't you have to consider it.

This b&b is cute, and well maintained. We did have a problem with the heat out first night, but it was quickly resolved and we had a very comfortable remainder of our stay. The rooms are cozy, and the breakfast I delicious! The location is nice, as it is away from the city, yet close enough to still be able to go when you want!

I had a full Irish breakfast which was better than you get in most hotels but my friend was vegetarian and the options were limited. A list of 3 or 4 options would make a huge difference

The location was perfect for us as we were visiting relatives just up the road in Barna. The owner Patrick couldn't be been more helpful or friendly if he tried, and always spared the time to have a general chat. The b&b was immaculate in every way and the breakfast was fantastic. I will be going back to Galway again and I won't be looking at any other place unless they're full up. 10 out of 10.

Whilst the loft was quaint I personally found it uncomfortable with no fresh air & inability to open skylight shower very difficult to mange & after travelling 400+ kms was dying for a hot shower

The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and a good size, and breakfast was fantastic

Ard Mhuire is on a quiet, residential street within easy walking distance to a view of the Atlantic at the end of the street. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Iespecially liked the room with many windows with comfortable chairs where we could sit and chat, read or use our iPads. Breakfast was generous and tastey, served fresh and hot. Always plenty of coffee and tea. Our host Padraic, was most accomodating, even giving a ride to Galway when some of missed the bus.I would recommend the Ard Mhuireif you don't want to be right in the city. We found some great places to eat in Salthill including the Gourmet Tart and Lohan's.

The bus service was a bit challenging to figure out the times and routes but that was a small thing.

We enjoyed the friendliness of Padraic, he couldn't have been more accommodating. He made his home feel like your home. We were a little further from Galway than I wanted to be, but if you want to stay away from the congestion of Galway, this is the perfect location. Beautiful beach area!!! Full Irish breakfast, wifi and very nice sitting room for reading etc.
