Young woman who was working between the lounge and reception (she was from Cleggan) was very pleasant and helpful as was the bartender who "found" Skysports for us on the tv. Much appreciated. Found the man (possibly the owner) at checkout the following day to be very abrupt, not particularly helpful or pleasant. Needs to take a page out of his staffs book and learn some people skills. Did not have breakfast in the hotel, priced at 15Euro per person, was travelling with two children, we went into Clifden and had a very good breakfast at the bakery/coffee shop for a total of 15Euro for all of us.

beaytiful location and great ambience. Fantastic food ! You cannot go for a walk as the road infront is not wide enough to walk safely and you cannot access the sea and grasslands

Quiet, romote I feel it is over priced for what is on offer, Many of the restaurants in Clifden offer vastly superior food for less money

The staff wer amazingly helpfull and plesant to talk too.. The rooms was extraordinary for the price we payed very clean. The view from our room was beautifull, all and all it was a very relaxing experiance I would recomend this hotel to any and all.. The only thing bad about out 2 nite stay is the waitress on breakfast in the morning made us "both" feel like she dident want us to be there .. and that we wer annoying her by our presance... No amount of please and thank you would satisfy this rude girl.

Extremely helpful and friendly owner and staff. Very good food. Well-appointed rooms. Superb views over the coastline. The only real problem: given the narrow road outside (no footpath), it is impossible to walk anywhere safely directly from the hotel.

The hotel is very relaxing and certainly lives up to its 3 stars. The staff were fantastic, nothing was to much trouble. It was my first time in Ireland, I shall certainly be returning. The food was great, the chef very creative and great to experience the very finest local and home grown produce. The whole family really know how to look after you...a great experience. Thank you all

Stephane, Monique and the lady that served us breakfast and dinner were fantastic for our whole trip! Really made it so personal and enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The food in Ardagh is fantastic, Monique has a gift! The hotel is easy to find and perfect for a relaxing break.

Views were lovely. I would not classify this as a hotel. It's a large guest house. I do not know how it's received a 3star rating as I found the "hotel" poor. Their are no extractor fans in bathroom which means a constant smell is being emitted. The room although large felt old, tired, smelt stale and their were cobwebs on the skirting. The tv had 1 station which worked and had not been dusted in quite some time as there was a finger print on the 'on' button. The phone did not work, you could hear through the Walls (it's a house I guess), there was a make-up stain on the top of duvet. There was also a dog lying in the hall which looked a little intimidating.
