Clean room,good location
Hard to sleep when theres a concert outside the window. Plus 7.50 for breakfast! This was the first time I have been asked to pay extra for breakfast at a B&B. Also no apologies for the noiseand firework display that went on till 12.30.
Location, within walking distance of town. Greeted by a lovely lady who was very quick to help and tell you things you need to know about the area. Free Wifi, although 4G is active in Galway city. Breakfast was very tasty. The owners were amazingly friendly. Cleanliness was second to none.
The noise of fellow house guests was unreal, the walls maybe thin I don't know but from 6am I was woken and could not go back asleep. Such a pity as the bed was comfy. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, these are downstairs available 24hrs. I don't understand how B&Bs are not including breakfast in ther prices, the name B&B you'd assume it is, this seems to be standard in all the B&Bs in this area though.
Everything was great. Great location, great hosts and great lodgings.
Wonderful and very helpful staff, very close to city center. Fun of greyhound/rugby stadium next door. Room good, roomy enough. Very good shower. Good breakfast, tea and cookies anytime in roomy and nice common room.
Noise of same stadium up to 11:30 PM or so, quiet after that.
Location was very central within walking distance .
The room we got was far to small and far to expensive with no breakfast included was pretty poor for my liking
Nice, quiet place. Very friendly owners
The rooms were very small. And the beds were also small. The walls were very thin (we could hear our neigbor snoring)
People and location. Breakfast.
Mike and Breeda were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable- but having stayed there during the Galway races we mightn`t have stayed in them as long as usual! Short 5 min walk to town which saves on taxis. Over all very nice and look forward to staying there again.
Mike was the most friendly and helpful innkeeper that we met along our travels. We felt very welcome and he and his wife make an exquisite breakfast! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Galway (which was a great city!).
We specifically enjoyed the blackout blinds in the room, as we had a long evening in Galway. It was great to sleep in. Very comfortable beds. The owners were very welcoming and we had a super chat about events to come in Galway. They were extremely approachable and their facilities were exactly what we desired. The proximity to Galway centre was a true delight.
Great breakfast Very friendly helpful owners Walkable location into town
Ardawn House is comfy and elegant. Breakfast is well worth the money and is beautifully prepared and lovingly served.
It's the last of the B&Bs -- a bit of a walk into town, but this allows an extra slice of tasty homemade brown bread for breakfast.
Cosy twin room
Nice stay, room good, bathroom good, bed good
7.95 for breakfast for the cost of the room, that should have been inclusive.
Lovely place to stay and very friendly. Breakfast was a treat.
very friendly and clean comfy accomodation.no request was too small or trivial
Wonderful welcome - very friendly owners Lovely breakfast.
Bed hard - not very comfortable Noise from Greyhound track behind house Remote control not working on TV
very comfortable and close to the city center. They were very friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast was very good
Breda was lovely. Despite the room being very small, it was quite well appointed, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Would recommend Ardawn House. A short walk into town, so location was very good.
Unfortunately, our room backed onto the local greyhound racing club, which was incredibly noisy and kept us awake. Not the fault of the owners, but a consideration when staying here.
Convenient to most everything in Galway City, especially the rugby pitch. We watched a fine match while there. Rita, the host, her family and helper, were so very warm and friendly. Enjoyed talking and spending a bit of time with her. And shared helpful information about our continuing travel plans in Ireland. The breakfast was the best you could ask for. Was a wonderful choice for us while visiting our daughter while she was an exchange student at University of Ireland at Galway.
On a busy street, but road noise was minimal.
Great location to hit the local pubs. Easy walking distance to most restaurants.
Rooms not very sound proof.
comfortable beds, clean,
Staff were lovely
Breakfast was not included for €80. This was unusual for a bnb.
Our host was knowledgable about the area and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless and cozy. Wifi was flawless.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
