Comfy Beds Helpful staff Friendly Short walk to centre of town
We loved everything about this place: the location, food, bedroom, shower, the friendliness of the owners & their family, how clean the house and room was and the excellent service. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough!!
Very close to bus and city center and lovely place to stay. Great staff and food also
Nothing it was all good!!!
Really nice welcoming place. Lovely people. 10 mins walk from Eyre Square. Late checkout.
Really enjoyed our stay here - great location and lovely clean comfy room - class - will definitely stay again.
location friendly staff good breakfast
cutlery needs a clean
The shower was inconsistent with hot and cold water.
Easy walking distance to Galway City Centre. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. Host made us feel very welcome.
Good breakfast; very nice hosts
Breda was very helpful when we arrived. She gave us a map with areas that she thought we would like to see. We didn't eat breakfast there but the dining room looked very nice. We walked everywhere from the B&B which was great! The room was very comfortable, and I would definitely recommend this B&B to others. Thank you very much! Maureen, Lars, and Riley (Canada)
Mike and Breeda were so helpful! Right after we checked in, Breeda gave us a list of places to go, good places to eat, walks to take. Every suggestion was spot on! The location is co-located with a few other B&B's and is a short walk from the lively downtown area. Breakfast was great, but mostly I loved the hosts.
The road near the house can be a bit busy. It was warm while we were there, so with the window open it was a bit hard for a light sleeper to sleep after the trucks started rolling in the morning.
The owners were so nice and accommodating- they provided us with a travel cot and use of their fridge and freezer for baby items. It was my first time staying at a B & B and my parents had only ever stayed in ones in the United States, so it was a positive experience for all of our first times in a European B & B. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The bathroom was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was delicious and restaurant quality. Would recommend this to ANYONE in a heartbeat! The location was also right at the city center so we were able to walk everywhere and leave our car there. This was so helpful!
No complaints at all!
The host was incredibly nice and polite (especially compared to others in Ireland). Very cozy and comfty house/ room.
Clean room,good location
Hard to sleep when theres a concert outside the window. Plus 7.50 for breakfast! This was the first time I have been asked to pay extra for breakfast at a B&B. Also no apologies for the noiseand firework display that went on till 12.30.
Location, within walking distance of town. Greeted by a lovely lady who was very quick to help and tell you things you need to know about the area. Free Wifi, although 4G is active in Galway city. Breakfast was very tasty. The owners were amazingly friendly. Cleanliness was second to none.
The noise of fellow house guests was unreal, the walls maybe thin I don't know but from 6am I was woken and could not go back asleep. Such a pity as the bed was comfy. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, these are downstairs available 24hrs. I don't understand how B&Bs are not including breakfast in ther prices, the name B&B you'd assume it is, this seems to be standard in all the B&Bs in this area though.
Everything was great. Great location, great hosts and great lodgings.
Wonderful and very helpful staff, very close to city center. Fun of greyhound/rugby stadium next door. Room good, roomy enough. Very good shower. Good breakfast, tea and cookies anytime in roomy and nice common room.
Noise of same stadium up to 11:30 PM or so, quiet after that.
Location was very central within walking distance .
The room we got was far to small and far to expensive with no breakfast included was pretty poor for my liking
Nice, quiet place. Very friendly owners
The rooms were very small. And the beds were also small. The walls were very thin (we could hear our neigbor snoring)
People and location. Breakfast.
Mike and Breeda were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable- but having stayed there during the Galway races we mightn`t have stayed in them as long as usual! Short 5 min walk to town which saves on taxis. Over all very nice and look forward to staying there again.
Mike was the most friendly and helpful innkeeper that we met along our travels. We felt very welcome and he and his wife make an exquisite breakfast! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Galway (which was a great city!).
We specifically enjoyed the blackout blinds in the room, as we had a long evening in Galway. It was great to sleep in. Very comfortable beds. The owners were very welcoming and we had a super chat about events to come in Galway. They were extremely approachable and their facilities were exactly what we desired. The proximity to Galway centre was a true delight.
Great breakfast Very friendly helpful owners Walkable location into town
Ardawn House is comfy and elegant. Breakfast is well worth the money and is beautifully prepared and lovingly served.
It's the last of the B&Bs -- a bit of a walk into town, but this allows an extra slice of tasty homemade brown bread for breakfast.
