Fabulous,

This charming bed and breakfast offers stunning sea views and free Wi-Fi just 5 minutes’ walk from Cobh’s Titanic Museum. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea at Ardeen B&B Cobh, as well as a delicious full Irish breakfast and continental buffet in the morning. Packed lunches are available, and if you have to leave early you can take a “grab-and-go” breakfast to take with you. Aibheen, the owner was very friendly and helped with much information. She was very generous with her breakfast and filled every wish, even had cheese, which we didn't get at many B&B'S. The bathrooms need more water pressure but were adequate for showering. Bathrooms are slightly small and tight.

Location was handy, since my main purpose was to attend an event at Cobh Cathedral, just around the corner. And Ardeen is handy to eating-places and items of tourist-interest too (E.G., "Titanic Museum". But, the thing that makes Ardeen special is the friendly and attentive hostess (who also makes great breakfasts & is always happy for a cup of tea and/or snack). But the really outstanding thing, was the way Aveen & her entire family made me feel welcome, really as "one of their own". --David Irby, Irish, age 68. The front-door lock is a bit tricky.

Our first impression after a four hour journey was very disappointing as we were greeted with an abrupt comment of ''are you Patricia? you can only stay for 1 night, I will sort it for you'' However we were not told why and were left wondering all day and night if anything had been sorted for the next day! We were also advised in a telephone call, prior to booking, that the parking was permit only and that they 9the hotel) would sort it out and not to worry, we had to pay and all day and had to keep going back to car to pay for parking!!! The owner herself even got a ticket!! During breakfast we asked if anything had been arranged for our next nights' stay as we hadn't been informed, it seemed to us as if she had forgotten and then came later to say she had got us booked into the 'BELLA VISTA' and took us to it- wasting more of our holiday time! On arrival at the Bella Vista we were given a warm welcome and overheard the Ardeen owner telling the receptionist that we wanted to book another night at her hotel but she was booked up and it was OUR FAULT, this was quite untrue as our booking had been made on the Friday prior and received confirmation email. So all in all bad attitude, bad welcome, BAD EXPERIENCE - Wouldn't recommend to anybody!

this b and b is in a very good location i stayed only one night as i was visiting the titanic experience . the owner was a lady and very friendly and welcoming. the room was clean and basic and the house is quite old and quaint. the lady had great interaction with all the people staying there and called everyone by their first name which impressed me. there are some pigeons in the area not attached to the b and b but did cause a little noise as we were in the back room. the breakfast was lovely and i would recommend this b and b and i would return.

It had a lovely atmosphere and was in a great position, only two minutes from the quay. The room was small but nicely furnished and the sitting room area downstairs for guests was very comfortable, although the Irish music being piped in and the overwhelming smell of the lilies was a little too much for my taste. It's set in a lovely little town on top of a hill, but the climb isn't too steep and the views were lovely. The other guests were very friendly. I had to leave quite early and ended up just putting the money on the table with my key and a note, I would have felt more comfortable handing it to someone, but everyone was asleep (which I can understand) but I still would have felt better even if I could have paid the bill the night before. Shower gel in the bathroom would have been appreciated and maybe some shampoo or conditioner as well. All of this could be easily overlooked, but the lack of wifi or any internet connection was something that was a big issue for me.

1. Owner was most attentive and pleasant to us. She welcomed us on arrival with afternoon tea, and .provided us with info on amenities and facilities.. 2.The location is central and near to good restaurants/pubs/and local attractions. 3. we really felt at home in the B&B and would go there again. 4.As former B&B owners we were delighted to find a place that ticked all the boxes.

We felt right at home at the Ardeen B &B. They were accommodating and fun to be with. The location is a short walk from the historic Cobh harbour. It was the most relaxing stay we have had, other than with family.

Ardeen b&b was a very comfortable place to stay, and only 5 mins from the main centre of town on the sea front and also close to the cathedral. Aoibhinn was a wonderful hostess, and made us all feel very welcome with tea and cake on arrival. Although the house is 200 years old the rooms are very cosy, and if one is fortunate to have rooms at the front of the house the views over Cobh and the harbour are spectacular! The place is spotless, very clean linen and the breakfast was very good too. Definitely worth a visit! Thank you Aoibhinn for printing off our boarding cards also! Best of luck with the business.
