We were attending a friend's wedding at the nearby Lough Eske Castle, and Ardeevin was perfect, being just 5 minutes drive / taxi ride away. Value for money was fantastic, and the property had everything we could need. The beds were really comfortable, there's free wifi, there's plenty of space, and the breakfast (as has been mentioned repeatedly before!) is superb, served in a dining room overlooking the lough. Gorgeous! The couple who run the place are really lovely and went out of their way to help us. Four of us stayed at the B&B and not one of us had a bad word to say about it.
Fabulous stay- thank you. Lovely couple
Beautiful surroundings and accomodations!
View from our room
Wonderful breakfast, beautiful view of the lake andountains.
Hard to find, especially in the dark.
The location and views were just beautiful. It is an amazing part of the world. The room was so beautifully decorated, nice big size and extremely comfortable. The owners take pride in the cleanliness of their home, that's for sure!
The full Irish breakfast was lovely and the juices and brown bread were delicious. There was a toaster beside the dining table where you could toast your own bread, however as I picked up a slice, they were covered in blue mould. I think it was just an oversight by the owners. Another thing I felt uncomfortable with was sharing a large table with other guests. There was just one couples table and everyone else had to sit together. Although this was a nice way to get to know the guests, there were people beside me who just had no interest in conversing and it made me feel uncomfortable. However, due to the size of the dinng room, the was no other option but eat in the company of others.
Fabulous view over lough Eske from the house and from my bedroom. Very friendly staff. Taxi service arranged, The guest house is ten minutes by car from Lough Eske Castle and from Harvey's Point Hotel.Better to find house in daylight .
Loved the decor, the furnishings, breakfasts excellent both quality and choice, and a special mention to Sean and Mary who couldn't have been more helpful.
Not enough visitor attractions close at hand, and only Donegal town has any shopping facilities which are also limited, the guest house is a bit remote but you can't do anything about that, having said that it is well sign posted.
It was very comfortable, warm with lots of character, our room was beautiful very large with lovely antique furniture , mary welcomed us with a pot of tea and cakes even though there were tea making facilities in the room, the breskfast was excellent lots of choice all freshly cooked with home made bread and scones. Both mary and Sean gave us great advice nowhere to eat, glad we took them up on advice about lough Eske castle , we woul have thought it would be too expensive but the bar food wasn't and it was excellent with entertainment as we'll
This stop was our favorite for our trip to Ireland. It was a beautiful location overlooking the lough. The room was extremely comfortable and far larger than we would have expected. The beds were very comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice, although it might have been nice to have a few more veggie options. We would definitely stay here if we returned to the Donegal area.
This is a fabulous place to stay and enjoy the scenery. Close to Donegal if you have a care. Attentive hosts and great breakfast. Wish we had had longer to enjoy the wonderful home and surroundings.
Kind host and hostess, exquisite room, excellent choice at breakfast, B&B situated in one of the most beautiful sceneries, fair prices; plus a nice Woollen Things in the nearby city.
We stumbled across our accommodation after viewing the Lough Eske castle grounds and couldn't be more thrilled with the position and scenery. Mary showed us to a beautiful room with a warmth and charm of its own. The queen size bed was very comfortable and there was ample room for our bags. A huge chest at the end of the bed gave additional seating room, on top of the window seat and comfortable arm chairs. Our hostess gave us hints for eating and this was a short drive to Donegal, along the country roads. Breakfast was plentiful and nothing was a bother. Heating and ensuite was great. This is a great place to relax, there is a lovely drawing room downstairs and the house itself is full of interesting ornaments.
The shower was great, however the only pip we could say is that the ensuite tended to creak when you used this facility. This could be bothersome to others, but at the time no-one was downstairs.
Everything. Simply put, location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast and all else you could ask for was second to none. A fantastic stay for myself and my wife and shall be back
The view from the room was pretty and peaceful. The room was quiet. Breakfast was nice. The dinner recommendation was great. The linens were first class, of the highest quality, beautiful, smooth, pressed, absolutely lovely.
Our host erupted when we requested an early breakfast. For that reason only, we did not enjoy our stay.
Loved the beautiful room we had the beds were so comfortable, beautifully decorated size of bathroom and bedroom was great.
Had another couple with us and had booked for the same size room but there room was less than half the size of ours, host did apologise.
Great breakfast with choices for hot portion. Very considerate hosts. Lovely setting.
Beautiful location on Lough Eske. Sean and Mary McGinty were excellent hosts.
Lovely scenic quiet location. Excellent breakfasts . Very friendly hosts.
It's so hard to put in words how increatable this place is. I stayed in so many B&B and there's none like this. From every little detail in marvelous decoration and decor to major things as price, neat and clean sheets and towels and outstanding breakfast.when I stay here , I'm in my dreaming home ! Oh , and there's no such a thing as a bad or good room! All rooms are unique, and has there own personality. I checked. Owners are hard working and the most pleasant B&B oweners I ever met. Simply Amazing!

Too far from Donegal town when you wanted to go out to dinner
The view on the lake and its surroundings was amazing. The owners were sweet and thoughtful. Breakfast was delicious. The B&B is lovely, the room was large and comfortable and richly decorated. Donegal is only few minutes away (by car).
Mary and Sean are wonderful hosts. The room had the most amazing view, the breakfast was delicious, the best french toast I have ever had. A really excellent B&B.
