The bathroom was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The location was quiet. We paid extra to have a de luxe bedroom with a sea view. The view was restricted by trees at the front of the hotel. We were informed by a female staff member that it was the end of the season and the trees needed lopping.

It was within walking distance of Westport town. Nothing about this over priced B and B justified the title Country House Hotel.Dinner was very poor. Bedroom was an attic room- it was not the Deluxe room we booked. No tea/ coffee making facilities in bedroom. Plumbing noisy and floor boards creaked in attic room. Lady of the house offhand and did not make you feel welcoming.

Good breakfast I don't think it should be classed as a hotel. Ardmore House is very expensive bed & breakfast accomodation and the landlady is very unfriendly.

The accommodation was superb. Bedroom was very comfortable and spacious and cleanliness of a high standard. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked, what I liked most there was no self-service, and every thing was served to you at the table.

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay at Ardmore. Everythin g was excellent. I've read some bad reviews of Ardmore on the internet, all I can say is those who wrote them didn't stay at the same place as we did. If we have any reason to be in that area again we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I would strongly recommend Ardmore and the area of Westport to anyone. Our stay would have been completely perfect if we had tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

My husband and I traveled to Ireland for the first time and were thrilled with our stay at Ardmore. The location was quiet and serene, and the view from our room was magnificent. The breakfasts were wonderful, and we so enjoyed getting to know fellow guests. We decided to climb Croagh Patrick and while descending I fell and injured my ankle. The Ardmore staff couldn't have been more helpful -- providing me with a crutch and arranging a visit to the local doctor. Despite a broken ankle we had a wonderful time in Ireland, especially Westport, and hope to return.

We had a great room, 205. After 7 days on the road, the king bed & the huge bathroom were a welcome sight. Th food was unexpectedly upscale, the dining room very quiet & private. Wish we had another night there. I wish we had a better map of their location. Perhaps there is one and I missed it.

Comfortable Bed. Room with a veiw did not exist unless you got down on your knees, as it was an attic room, staff very unpleasent, rude when we called to enquire about directions. No asmosphere bar was locked at 11pm. Ardmore is not a country house or a hotel, just an expensive b&B.
