Ardmore Country House Hotel  

Loved the location over looking Clew Bay as you watched the sun set as dining in the restaurant !! Found the Ardmore in very good decorative order and the housekeeping spotless. Dinner in the restaurant was good although a little expensive, but good quality and local produce. Found the staff very friendly available but without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend to family and friends as good place to stay

Our room was superb. It was large and beautifully furnished. An iron and ironing board,trouser press,hair dryer and tea making facilities were provided.From our room we had a view of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent. The whole atmosphere was homely and friendly. We would certainly return to Ardmore Country House.

While the hotel is near the Quay in Westport where there are some shops and many restaurants,visitors may need a car to go to the town centre.

I loved the warm welcome we received on arrival, the owner was extremely courteous, and very accommodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was superb, produce was locally sourced and fresh. Rooms were luxouriously decorated with a fantastic bathroom and views to die for and hight standard of cleanliness noted! I would highly recommend Ardmore Country House Hotel.

There was no heat on when we arrived it was freezen and we had to take a shower to heat up !! I even put the hairdryer on myself to heat up !!! sad or what.I Had to ask a few times to put it heat on as it kept going off after 10 mins.It was a good bit out from Westport and was not what I expected, it was not the country house hotel 4 star, more an up market b ans b

The food was a1 the service was brillant

The drinks were expensive that was my only complaint

A bit unusual not to have Tea/Coffee making facility in room.This may of course be deliberate policy.

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay at Ardmore. Everythin g was excellent. I've read some bad reviews of Ardmore on the internet, all I can say is those who wrote them didn't stay at the same place as we did. If we have any reason to be in that area again we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I would strongly recommend Ardmore and the area of Westport to anyone.

Our stay would have been completely perfect if we had tea/coffee making facilities in our room.

It was within walking distance of Westport town.

Nothing about this over priced B and B justified the title Country House Hotel.Dinner was very poor. Bedroom was an attic room- it was not the Deluxe room we booked.No tea/ coffee making facilities in bedroom. Plumbing noisy and floor boards creaked in attic room. Lady of the house offhand and did not make you feel welcoming.

I like the room and the colour scheme and the breakfast was lovely with a good choice

The only thing I have to complain about was the bed was so hard to sleep on

The rooms were large and the food was excellent.

The plumbing was very noicey and the floor boards were squeeky in our room could do with some attention.

Very friendly clean and comfortable.

Poor wi- fi coverage in house, although this is going to be sorted out, we were told. Tea making facilities in room would have been nice.
