Your staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. Food in both restaurant and bar very good with excellent service.
Didn't like staying in room 428 - bit like a luxury prison cell with it's high window and lack of ANY view. Also smell of stale smoke was not very inviting. Poor toilet flush bit of an issue.
If you want to stay anywhere near Arklow you won't get better than here. Lovely location with some great facilities both in the hotel and in the area. Will stay again.
Brilliant view of sunrise. Excellant location.
Breakfast arrangement s very poor for the cost of stay
I liked very little about the hotel and definitely would not come back.
What I didn't like was a) the fact that some person had been sick on the ground in the smoking area b) the fact that the men's toilet had to closed for a time as a result of some person being sick on the floor c) there was no heating in the room on arrival and I had to request the heating to be turned on in my room - three phone calls later.. d) waste ground was the view from the room. e) the flushing of toilets and what appeared to be a boiler or running water situation was very loud and could be heard in every room f) it was impossible to get into bed as the area between the wall and the bed edge was not sufficient to fit through. g) general appearance of the hotel was shabby and run down. h) reception staff not very friendly and lacked basic manners - Please and Thank you...especially when booking in....
Privacy comfort food wifi
no thing ..
The room was quiet despite the loud noise from the function room below.
The mouldy grouting all the way around the bath, it was really offputting.
hair dryer in room, you would get better in Smyths Toys
The price was fantastic for the luxury of the hotel, well worth the money
Wonderful View and Location Friendly and helpful Staff
Seems shabby - rooms need updating
Bar food good and staff friendly with good service. Breakfast nice. Staff at leisure centre helpful & friendly. Hotel very convenient to get back onto N11/M11.
I arrived at nighttime. I nearly drove past the hotel entrance as it as not well lit up that evening. Minor gripe - leisure centre not attached to hotel so you have to walk outdoors to get there.
Cleanliness was poor in the shower area. Gents toilet was dreadful. Tokens for cigarette machine not available. Bar staff not very friendly or helpful.
Couldn't fault the hotel or it's staff... Would recommend to anyone!!
good food , lovely staff great facilities
Clean and nice rooms, good shower, good location for what we needed
Lights were not working in the room and even though we reported this 4 times, they were not fixed until late on the evening when we no longer needed them. We were attending for a wedding and had to get ready on the dark which was not ideal. The staff also asked my partner to remove the light fitting himself to fix the problem. We ordered room service and the hotel then sent someone to fix the lights while we were eating. Poorly handled overall, and only a €20 discount was given for the inconvenience. We paid over €110 for the room, it does not seem like much to expect some lighting!
We were in Arklow to visit friends and just found the hotel ok we just felt the hotel needed to be updated. The lady who served our food was a credit to the hotel.
Really wasn't "beach front" like our stay at the Espanlade in Bray was.
food in the restaurant was cold
FOOD AND SURROUNDINGS WERE LOVELY, BEDROOMS WERE NICE.
NOTHING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT IT EXCEPT BAR STAFF WERE A BIT SLOW
The food , great service and good wifi .
No air con and noise between walls of the rooms
Facilities, food, service, helpfulness of staff. Everything above rated excellent.
View from room disappointing. The only window was high up - thus the only view was the roof of another building and the sky.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great for families and couples
We dined in the bar each night as we didn't fancy any of the places in Arklow. The food was excellent each night and far more superior than any bar food we had had previous in other hotels.
We stayed for four nights and were down for breakfast early each morning. The cooked breakfast was cold each morning! Think the hotel has to look at this.
