The Bay Hotel is in a lovely area with grate views. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms at the front of the hotel over looking the gardens are of a good size. The gym is a good size and so is the swimming pool .
It can be noisy at night when there is a party . The food in the bar is good but a bit expensive. They could put some different dishes on the menu. The beds are a bit hard!
Reception area comfortable.Bar comfortable.Manager very helpful and glad we brought issues to her attention.
Breakfast. No orange juice for 25 mins.No milk for cereal. had to wait 6 or 7 minutes and had to ask a second staff member in order to get it.Plates for breakfast cold.Cocktail sausages served with breakfast.Pot of tea luke warm.Requested a second pot.Same result.
Very accommodating for a family with young children, no fuss was made about staying in the bar area.
Staff in the bar where we got our dinner were lovely they had great time for my young son which was great to see.
Taught the staff at the swimming pool were very unhelpful. Asked a question and they were to busy talking to each other they never answered or even looked up at us. We taught they were very rude.
everything been coming here for years great place to come for weekend.overlooking the sea can,t beat it.good food lovely staff few mins walk from town.
I have stayed now a couple of times and it has always been pleasant
nothing that comes to mind
Liked location; fabulous view. Staff were particularly helpful and friendly, room was comfortable with an amazing view, lovely spacious reception area.
No brochure of hotel and poor supply of tourist leaflets of area.
Location was excellent and so was pool and gym, staff were pleasant. Food was lovely.
Room was not suitable as a family room, fine as a double only. Child's cot bed should not be put against a hot radiator. Restaurant service forgot about us once the main course was served.
Food was lovely so were staff ... Very helpful and polite :)
There was only rubbish channels on TV and didn't have any options of watching films :(
Nothing in particular
Breakfast was good & bar stayed open late. Friendly staff.
Car park was completely full, so had to leave my car on the small road outside. The bar & breakfast room were very full, no small bottles of wine & out of draft Heineken. Bedroom (107) was on the small side.
Perfectly adequate for a single overnight stay
Parking, very nice breakfast, room and premises furnished to a high standard and with good taste.
It was a little chilly in the room.
everything and everyone
We were well looked after
Had a lovely stay at the Arklow Bay Hotel, It was a treat for my Mum for her birthday. Would recommend the hotel, great food, lovely location and the staff are very nice. Will be back.
Loved the atmosphere, plenty of space, surroundings stunning. Never enjoyed a break like this one.Food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful
Light switch broken in bedroom ,nervous using it
Being able to have a hot bath after a long day of travelling. I remembered to buy a bottle of Radox and it soaked away all my aches and pains. And it was a great room with loads of light, views, and it was clean and fresh
To much noise
Your staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. Food in both restaurant and bar very good with excellent service.
Didn't like staying in room 428 - bit like a luxury prison cell with it's high window and lack of ANY view. Also smell of stale smoke was not very inviting. Poor toilet flush bit of an issue.
If you want to stay anywhere near Arklow you won't get better than here. Lovely location with some great facilities both in the hotel and in the area. Will stay again.
Brilliant view of sunrise. Excellant location.
Breakfast arrangement s very poor for the cost of stay
I liked very little about the hotel and definitely would not come back.
What I didn't like was a) the fact that some person had been sick on the ground in the smoking area b) the fact that the men's toilet had to closed for a time as a result of some person being sick on the floor c) there was no heating in the room on arrival and I had to request the heating to be turned on in my room - three phone calls later.. d) waste ground was the view from the room. e) the flushing of toilets and what appeared to be a boiler or running water situation was very loud and could be heard in every room f) it was impossible to get into bed as the area between the wall and the bed edge was not sufficient to fit through. g) general appearance of the hotel was shabby and run down. h) reception staff not very friendly and lacked basic manners - Please and Thank you...especially when booking in....
