the food in HOWARDS RESTAURANT WAS VERY NICE AND THE WAITER WAS NICE TOO.
I liked the location
The breakfast was awful and limited
We stayed recently for a wedding, the staff were fantastic and the food was lovely. Great location beside the beach
Our room was fine apart from the terrible view of a roof of some hallway but we didn't spend too much time in the room so wasn't a major problem. We were in the bar and it was freezing, we hoped when we moved into the reception room that it would be warmer but it wasn't. We were in a room full of people and it was really cold.
Very small rooms
loved everything about this hotel been coming back here many times over the years.looking forward to going back in oct.
Location was very close to the town with ample parking.
The room smelled musty and the paint was peeling on the roof. Carpets had bed in dirt and overall the room and hotel needed a lot of re decorating or refurbishment.
proximity to wedding i was attending. room was ready on arrival
poor lighting in bathroom asked for twin room but room only has a double bed and single bed!!! tap fixtures loose and lock on window loose. no air con and as on ground level couldn't leave window open. poor tv reception
This hotel is in a wonderful location, I loved the walk at the bottom of the hotel garden along the water. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had great facilities.
The swimming pool was fantastic for my two year old..
Myself and my wife had three meals and all of them were poor. Staff were excellant.
No bath in our room which I was surprised at
I liked the way staff paid attention to detail.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Good location, convenient to main roads. Staff very friendly and helpfull, good car parking. Quiet walks by the sea.
Room was bit small and sparce, but as only used for sleeping not really a problem
There was a nasty musty smell in our room when we arrived. Very off putting !!!
Family friendly facilities
Rooms are a bit outdated, need some modernising
The food in the bar was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very child friendly
I did not like that the check in time was between 3 and 4 that is very late, if you are only staying for one night you get less than 24 hours in the room.
We stayed in room 104, a large double with view of the car park. The staff on the front desk are very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty. I have stayed here before in a better, more modern room and found the experience to be much more enjoyable.
I stayed here for a wedding and paid €140 for the room and breakfast. I don't mind paying this much for a room as long as the room and service is up to scratch. The room was clearly not hooved as there was sugar wrappers on the floor. The remote for the tv was missing. The bathroom seemed very dated, it was suitabke for someone in a wheelchair. The function room was nice but the price of drink would be on par with Dublin and not for a town. €3.50 for a glass of coke is a bit much, especially when most pubs charge €2.50. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but I would suggest lowering the price for the room to match the quality of the room.
Loved the swimming pool and food was lovely
Our daughter was not allowed in the bar at night, when we booked we were told she would be
Enjoyed our stay in arklow bay hotel. The food was fabulous and the hotel was beautiful with helpful friendly staff. Fantastic walk way down by the sea and big shopping complex nearby.
Only thing we didn't like was the amount of young children out in the lobby late at night lying on the floor and crying while adults were trying to enjoy the lovely music and have a few drinks. It was a bit difficult to get out to the toilet facilities and smoking area at time due to the young children.
view of aconcrete wall room dark damp musty cold no heating on,shower dripping noisly reported twice nothing done very poor nights osleep.receptionist uninterested that our staywas so uncomfortable.said she would have it looked at room114 very disappointing could not recommend this hotel.
Nice Family friendly hotel
Quality of food , could have been better.
Everything was great. Good location.
All was great.
Staff good and food great
I think there could be more at nite for the kids ...when people have to sit outside the bar at 9 with the kids there could be a bit of entertainment like a magician till 10/11
Comfortable, clean, quiet room, friendly staff, very helpful, lovely food in bar.
Bit isolated need a car for transport.
