Excellent location, easy to find, easy to walk to the tourists sites very presentable, good staff. We did not have any food there, so cannot comment. Drinks prices were the same as any where else (dear), you expect to pay more in a hotel which we thought was very fair of the Arlington to charge the same as any where else exsept Bar Street. Our room was ok plenty of hot water, room cleaned every day and clean towels provided. We stayed in room 308. We were up at 4 olock in the morning and had a long day, Very tired when we went to bed only to find what seemed like a disco in our room (not good) untill 2.30 ish in the morning. Sunday and Monday was fine because it was only on untill 12, people can except that. We got home on Tuesday and today We found out that the Arlington had taken another reserve fee out of our bank account and now we have to wait 7 days to have it repaid into our account. This has put finaincial strain on our resourses. But saying that when we contacted the Arlington they admitted that a mistake had been made and bent over backwards to help us. The room did look a bit tired, prehaps a paint job might be in order.

Excellent location for shopping if you have a car phone about 15 mins before getting there to see if they have onsite parking it's very limited. To avail of subsidised parking you need to make a left turn onto Jarvis Road (nb not jarvis centre Car park- if you get a foreign member of staff at front counter they in our case did not make this clear) before the hotel. I am very comfortable driving in Dublin but if you go on to hotel as we did there is an extensive one way system and getting back to the car park could be stressful. The Jarvis Road car park that has a deal with the hotel is very central and I would recommend it We got a non smoking room which reeked of stale smoke the hotel itself looks and feels dirty the breakfast isnt great but for €59 per night plus €10 breakfast you cant expect the Ritz.

I liked the entertainment which was first class and made our stay fab. There was a family in the next room which was an adjoining room with a very thin wall and their child was crying from very eaily morning.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel and could not recommend it to anyone. Despite booking 2 rooms at the same time for myself my husband and teenage daughters the rooms were on different floors. The double room stank of stale cigarette smoke and the hotel staff could not move us to the next day as the hotel was fully booked. This is not a safe environment for children of any age and we could not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Reception staff and porters were pleasant and helpful. Dinner and floor show were excellent value. In the bathroom, the basin was cracked in 4 places and the mirror was presumably cracked as it was taped over.

*The staff were extremely friendly and helpful *Food was good and the *location is excellent The hotel is dated and dull - a facelift at the reception area and the bar/dining should seriously be considered. There should be a quieter area reserved for business travellers away from the music and boiler area.

Food was reasonably priced and delicious.drink prices were reasonable for Dublin. Room was like an absolute sauna and we were unable to turn off the heating. Asked St reception for something to be done but nothing was so both nights we were forced to sleep with the window open causing a draught and forcing us to put IP with the noise of the large extractor fans
