Staff were efficient and helpful
The room key card only worked once before requiring re-loading with pass code, meaning several trips up and down in the lift bathroom facilities were a bit run down TV was too old to display a picture properly
TV remote broken. Desk gave me a second, also broken one. Vending machine broken. Bathroom sink sprayed huge amounts of water on us when we turned it on.
wifi in room not great
Genuinenely pleasant staff good sized rooms value for money. Good location and much better value than Dublin
The hotel is lovely and the staff are very nice.
Front desk staff in morning was very helpful
Due to a 21 birthday party several drunk attendees partied and yelled out side our room. From 1 AM to 4:30 nothing was done by front desk. Actually we could not locate the night person. Never again!
Food was very good and good value
Rooms are basic enough but very clean
I am already familiar with this hotel and was happy to say that they still provide a warm stay for very competitive prices. The staff are very friendly and there is good menu choice in their restaurant. Great value for money. I would easily return and recommend
Foam sink soap and shower dispensers. Bring your own
The staff were nice and very helpful
The showers and the bathroom were grubby and not in keeping with the rest of the room which was nice and comfortable
location, staff, parking.
Very brusque staff
Had everything we needed.
Hotel generally in need or a refurb. I bit tired in most places and limited choice at breakfast which was far to expensive for what was available.
Locality is good - close to shops, pubs, restaurants Perfect stay for Tayto Park visit Parking hassle free Quite & Peaceful Clean Value for money
At a wedding the Ashbourne gave a great meal but when we went to our room was a different story it was noisy with other guest, the T V didn't work. Next morning when we got breakfast which we paid for it was cold and when complained about we were told that they would tell the kitchen about it. No offer of a refund or apology.
Noisy as there was a wedding on so not much sleep as the venue is open until 3:00am Was looking forward to a good Irish Breakfast very poor 1 slice of uncooked bacon, 1 sausage watery scrambled eggs - seen bigger childrens portions
Close to tayto park which was why we stayed, hotel does have good parking facilities to rear, hotel was clean and tidy and basic facilities, you do Gert what you pay for although we had to pay extra on arrival which we were not made aware of before hand which was very disappointing
I had booked this hotel through booking.com where my search was for 2 adults2children, while checking in I was told I had to pay extra for two small children I explained I had booked this through booking.com on the basis of my search two adults two children and also had put into special requests who was staying and what ages they were but the hotel insisted that I had to pay extra as I was not given the correct rate on booking.com something people should look into before thinking they have booked a room at one rate and when arrive at the hotel have to pay a different rate
The Food in the Restaurant is brilliant and you should go there for a meal. Only 22.50euro for a 4 Course Meal. The Reception Staff were lovely and very pleasant (except for one of them) Rooms Clean, Comfortable and spacious, bed for Comfortable. Breakfast Lovely. Good Value for Money.
My Mum and Dad had been given a Voucher due to a Row which went on for a good while to stay one more night B&B and they were then give the same room the second time which was strange to say the least. I got NO Sleep as the people next door were singing, talkind, laughing very loudly and generally making lots of noise till about 4am in the morning(Room 201)My Room was in room 202 the room my Mum and Dad had stayed in previously so avoid this at all costs. The Receptionist who we spoke to when we arrived was rude and would NOT change the room 202 even though we had been promised 206/207. Very Disappointing as the Hotel is lovely and all the rest of the staff were so nice and pleasant.
The staff are excellent.I was finishing my meal in the bar and I coughed.A member of bar staff put a glass of iced water in front of me.He noticed that I was coughing. That was pretty impressive.
Nothing to complain about
The bathroom could do with a proper tiled or clean floor.
The bedrooms were spacious. the hotel location was ideal. the staff were friendly and allowed us to check in ten mins early on arrival. stayed over with my son and family on a trip to tayto park
Close to airport. Helpful front desk staff.
stayed for 2 nights, had to be moved due to no electric this was only partly sorted as we had a light on all night that would not go out, and terrible noise outside our room till early hours of the morning. we had to change rooms. this was all an inconvenience. we had travelled from France for a christening and due to no sleep were shattered and spoilt the day for us. I would ask for to be reimbursed for inconvenience this caused us on such a special family occasion.
Room clean and comfortable
Kettle didnt boil the water.
always good when we stay at ashburn
