Short walk to centre fine for a short stay
Very old fashioned expensive for basic b&b but understand probably reasonable price for races week
The owner was great and really helpful in planning our travels. Not an amazing guesthouse but for the price and location it was fine for one night.
location, comfortable beds, good wifi
very dirty rooms, poor staff, inability to understand guests needs, lack of matainance abundent, very overpriced for what you recive. average brekfast, lack of dining space when full
Some lights didn't work;bathroom filthy; toilet seat loose; dust in breakfast area; holes in walls and shower screen black with dirt.
The location was excelent. close to the center.
The wifi was reasonable
Firstly the bed was uncomfortable 2nd the window didn't close properly 3rd the breakfast was unedible except for the egg 4th the price was way too expensive for the location and the room given. 5th the noise from the fridge at breakfast was horrendous. I won't return.
Relativly near the city center, 5-10min walk. Comfy beds. Nice brekfast.
Great hospitality from hosts Large Breakfast will keep you filled up for the day.
80%lights are not working in the hall way, very little space in the room, very noisy cos there is a door behind press to the other room, u can hear people talking clearly. Towel are not very clean.
€160 was a ridiculous price for a corner of the attic of a very average house. Doors, toilet & shower very shabby as well.
It not four star luxury but you get what you pay for and its basic and clean and that suited us.
This was incredibly overpriced. Our room was not ready on arrival and was in the middle of having repairs done to it. The staff at breakfast were not attentive and the quality of breakfast was very poor. This was more like a hostel. I was very disappointed with my stay.
The room and that it was close to the city
The service for breakfast the girl was young and really wasn't bothered
Poor standard of accommodation
short walking distance to city centre
bedroom could have been cleaner, no hairdryer in room as advertised, kitchen being renovated + dining room dusty
I travelled with my friend, we had a nice stay. Very good location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. Free parking available. Welcoming and helpful staff. Tiny rooms (I don`t want to add it to the negative)
The rooms were a bit worn.
The location was good, and it was cheap
The house has definitely seen better days, it is grungy, the breakfast was substandard, and there was one staff person on hand for a house full of guests. Parking was limited and very tight, especially around the back of the house.
Very close to Eyre Square
Bathroom very small and not all that nice
Good location, and good Irish breakfast but that's the only plus. We had 2 double rooms and both were bad. Room 1 had a really rusty radiator, mouldy shower cubicle, shaver light had dead flies and other debris in it, dead spider fell out of shower dispenser, shower cubicle door didn't close, kettle didn't work, only 1 tea cup, and missing 1 bath towel. Room 2 was worse, so small me and my husband bumped into each other. On arrival there was only 2 dirty hand towels, no cups, no remote control, I complained and was told the tumble dryer had broken and the neighbouring b&b was drying for them and I would have them within an hour, at 5.45pm I was still waiting and had to have a shower using the other rooms hand towels, then ours arrived when I had already dressed. The shower holder was broken and the water didn't drain from shower tray so you stood in dirty water. There was a blue rubber shower mat which had brown stains all over it and carpet on bathroom floor (NO.NO.NO.) the curtains were missing hooks, and the duvet looked like a mole had been digging at it, all lumps and bumps. And as we were over the kitchen were woken by staff banging around from 7.30 in the mornings. This is first time in a b&b (usually go hotels) and I think it'll be our last unfortunately. The pictures are totally deceiving, and definitely not worth what we paid. "DONT STAY HERE" take notice of the reviews, unfortunately we didn't read them before we booked.
Staff had some great advice on where to go and what to see in making the most of our limited time in the Galway area.
i have stayed in this house for a number of years and would not look past it when i was staying the night in the city. however this time i was placed in a room/rooms in the very back of the guest house. this was called a twin room. two small rooms connected by a toilet and a shower for the price of 110 euro. his and hers rooms it should have been called. my wife was not at all happy. the rooms were filthy. after complaining we were upgraded to a bedroom with a double bed. yippee. and we were giving back 20 euro. now before getting ready to hit the city for a night out we had to wait 40 mins for a towel to have a shower. supposedly they had no working washing machine or dryer and were waiting for the laundromat to deliver some towels. no lights in the ceiling worked and we had to use a bathroom that was outside the room on the landing.
I loved the manor of the ower she was so welcomein and help full and was yop of everything
The place was absolutely filthy, smelly and I would never recommend staying here.
Very run down
It had a bed!!
It was worse than faulty towers
