Sheila and Frank are an Irish treasure. These innkeepers are beyond welcoming and hospitable. They truly make you feel at home, in their home. While the area is rife with B&B's this one stood out for us. If your goal is affordable, comfortable, peaceful and clean, you've found the spot. We look forward to a return visit.
The warmth of the owner
Sheila was lovely. Drove us to the castle for dinner. Fresh raspberries from Sheila's garden
- great location - VIP care :-) - luxury breakfast with delicious home made scones
Sheila and Frank made us feel like we were long time family friends, they were very nice and helpful! Really loved the stay, would definitely recommend this place.
Owners were lovely.Made you feel special. Warm scones served at breakfast.
Road to the castle is narrow for walking.
The location was great--right down the road from the castle and places to eat. It was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fabulous! However, the best part of our stay were our hosts! They chatted with us, shared some history and helped us with our itinerary. Can't say enough good things about the place.
I missed my shower at home, but the preserves at breakfast and the wonderful conversation made that memory disappear right away.
Upon arrival, We were greeted by Shelia with Irish Coffee and homemade scones. As the Irish say, "Perfect". And so was our stay. Great location just down the road from Bundratty Castle and a great place to start or end a visit to Ireland. Shannon Airport is 5 miles down the road. We will definitely stay there again
Had to pay in cash. But we were notified by e-mail before we got there.
Family friendly. Scones and Irish Coffee on arrival was fabulous. Nice breakfast. Frank & Sheila were great!
Ran out of hot water.
Beautiful home and friendly owners.
Family room was crowded.
Sheila and Frank were very nice hosts. The room was tidy and comfy, The breakfast was delicious. Great B&B over all.
Everything. The location was rural but within a mile of the Bunratty Castle and Folk park. There was plenty of room, wifi, quiet, clean. I would stay here again. Sheila was very welcoming and even sent an email prior to our arrival with suggestions on things to do in the area. The Bunratty Medieval Banquet at the castle was one of her suggestions and was fantastic.
Sheila! Of course! She welcomed us as old friends and smoothly took care of our every need. Breakfast was great, too!
Can't think of anything......
We really loved Leslie, our Irish coffee and breakfast to go! Would love to come back and stay longer.
the friendliness of staff and the hospitality and kindness
Very quiet location, but only a short drive to Shannon airport. We were made welcome and greeted by host, accommodated with an early breakfast and felt genuinely welcome. Room had both a door to the hallway and an exterior door so we could leave without disturbing other guests.
Everything was perfect. Frank and Sheila were very nice. Lovely breakfast. Thank You!
The owner was lovely, very friendly and chatty.
I felt the B&B, although equal in price to other B&B's in area, was over priced for the facility offered.
The owner was friendly. We could not get WiFi. but told later we could have. The room is very basic. The shower was ok with hot running water. Overall the accommodation is old and needs to be updated.
We paid way too much. 75 euro, was 25 euro overpriced. We drove on the next day to Galway and paid 80 euro for a really up market modern B&B.
Staff is very friendly.Good price
Sheila and Frank are delightful inkeepers. We had booked our reservation on-line 5 minutes before we showed up at their door and we were greeted as if we were friends they'd been expecting for months. The Irish coffee upon arrival was delightful. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the scones. If we get back to Bunratty, we wouldn't stay any where else.
Our only regret is that we had only one night to stay with this delightful couple.
Water pressure of shower
excellent friendly family run establishment
The hotel was clean and was only about 3/4 mile into bunratty. It was very quiet.
It dud not have the charm I was expecting. The room was When checking put we were told we had to pay cash and couldnt use our card. It just was not very professionally run. We did not receive an irish voffee on welcome as others have stated. We would not stay here again.
