I like the Ashley because of it's friendly, cozy, and old-fashioned atmosphere. The proprietor and her staff are always welcoming, helpful, and courteous. The breakfast room is especially cheerful and pleasant. I've stayed at this hotel on 5 different occasions and have never been dissatisfied.

It was near the city center The room was cold and had no heating, the bed was uncomfortable, the door of the room didn't lock, it was way overpriced for what it was. It sorted looked like a refuge for the homeless.

Landlady was excellent. Bit run down and didn't like that you had to hand in your key everytime you left. Also didn't like that you had to knock to get back into the building after 11pm.

Staff so friendly and helpful and great craic ! Location excellent as near main shopping Partick St. And eating areas. Room smelt a little musty or damp and the decor of the bathroom was old fashioned. No bath mat at bath shower so slippery when stepping out onto wet tiled floor. Bed hard and squeaky even when turning over. Water from shower came out brown for a while at first but clear water flowed in time.Bit difficult to work out how to get bath taps to turn water up into shower. Maybe a sign would be helpful.

The woman I dealt with was extremely friendly took time to chat which makes a great difference. It was also great to be able to smoke in you room There are many smokers out there and it's getting harder and harder for us to find hotels that permit it. It defeats the purpose of having a break if you are forced into cold turkey while you are there. Excellent location very comfortable beds. Couldn't work the shower though so had to have a bath which turned out to be nice anyway I decided against the breakfast as I think 10 euro is far too expensive. The price of the room was slightly high I think though the location was excellent for my purposes. I would certainly stay again and recommend it though if I was staying longer I would try to find a cheaper place

The staff were very friendly, informative, accomodating, and helpful. There was virtually no water pressure in my shower so I couldn't bathe. The bed was not comfortable. My breakfast was delivered 30 seconds after I ordered it so it had already been cooked- the fried egg was hard as a rock. The beer in the hotel bar was flat. The advertised wireless internet access in the lobby / bar is actually poached from neighbouring businesses. After I checked into my room and I was sleeping I was awakened and forced to move to another room.

My favourite thing about my stay was the very friendly helpful staff who made my time in the hotel an absolute pleasure. The central convenient location is also a big plus I do not intend this as a complaint as I enjoyed my stay at the hotel but the decor is a little dated and worn and the reception on the T V in my room was very poor as was the choice of chanels.
