Ashling Hotel DublinParkgate Street, D8 Dublin (Show map) Very good, Score from 1451 reviews“A cracking hotel in a great location with helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help and a fantastic breakfast. ”
Simon,
Aldershot
Overlooking the Liffey River, The Ashling Hotel is beside Heuston Station in Dublin. This 4-star hotel has beautifully decorated interiors, spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi, and a stylish bar. The Ashling is located just a 5-minute walk from Dublin Zoo and the Guinness Storehouse. A 5-minute ride on the LUAS tram brings you to the lively Temple Bar area. Decorated in warm tones, rooms have comfortable beds with crisp white comforters. Rooms include flat-screen TVs, in room safes and many rooms have views of the city. Chesterfields Brasserie serves cooked breakfasts in the morning, a lunchtime cavery and fine Irish and international cuisine in the evening. The Iveagh Bar has polished marble floors, a range of light snacks and fantastic cocktails. There are many comfortable lounges with luxuriously deep sofas for guests to relax in. Hotel Rooms: 225

It is just a 2 minute walk from Heuston Station and the room was large and comfortable. The bathroom would give any 5 star hotel a run for their money! We were given an early check-in which we really appreciated.

Treat yourself and dine in the hotels restaurant, at least once during your stay. In terms of quality of ingredients, presentation and value for money, this makes most of Dublin's, so called "fine dining" restaurants, look like the rip-off joints, some of them certainly are. Perhaps the wine list could be expanded a little more, but still offers enough choice to suit most preferences. The icing on the cake is the restaurants staff, who could not be more professional, friendly and helpful. They all went out of their way to make it a really enjoyable experience, with special mention for the young waiter from Mauritus. I have dined in most of Dublin's top restaurants, and the Ashling is worthy of comparison with most of them, that is how highly I rate it. Overall this is an excellent hotel. The only minor problems I found, were that the shower needed a shelf where shampoo/ soap could be placed when using it. Also the room was a bit too warm for comfort.

We liked almost all - the rooms are very beautiful, clean, spacious. The view over the city is fantstic! Luxurious bathroom & giant bed. Each room has its own air conditioner, so you can enjoy temperature you like. Very tasty restaurant! But a bit expensive. The staff - perfect, as it should be. Good location - 3 minutes walk to the history museum & 5-7 to guiness storehouse. A bus & train stop are near too. If you return late at night the taxi from temple bar would cost you 6-7 euros. And we felt very safe at the hotel thanks to good security system - no strangers can enter there. Really nothing!

Hotel was close to all major attractions, you could walk to both the Guinness and Jamesons factories, it was right near heauston station (Main train station, and airport bus drop-off and pickup) and a 1 minute walk to the nearest Luas (Tram) station where the temple bar district was a 5 minute trip away on the Luas. Perfect location, fantastic price.

The bed was fabulous, wonderful view of the Dublin mountains from the bedroom, enormous bathroom with two sinks, friendly staff, very nice breakfast, spotlessly clean, excellent location, no noise from neighbouring rooms or the corridor, just couldn't praise the place enough and would definitely stay here again.

Both myself and my husband enjoyed our recent stay in the Ashling Hotel Dublin. It was very relaxing, the food was good and varied, whether in the restaurant or bar, the breakfast excellent. The room and beds comfortable and clean. The location for us was ideal being quite close to Hueston Station as we had relatives to visit out of town. The buses and the Luas were also very handy. The staff manning the reception desk were polite and helpful, particularly one young girl, who at our request for the whereabouts of a florist in the vicinity, suggested Kate's in Stoneybatter. The bouquet was exceptional. The recipient, my husband's sister was very pleased. The occasion was her 80th birthday. Her birthday dinner was also catered for by the staff of the Ashling Hotel and was enjoyed by all. Thank you very much. Jacky .

the breakfast/breakfast area was lovely, also had a nice lounge/bar area Three single beds in the room rather than a double and a single. If the hotel was slightly closer to the centre, this would have been more convenient.

The staff are very helpful polite and friendly. I made an error when booking and choose a double instead of twin. The reception staff had no problem changing me to a twin which was great. Location was great so close to luas and Heuston. I was able to leave me bags at the hotel after booking out and collect them before catching the train. The only thing I would recommend if a family with young children are staying ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the luas runs right past the hotel until late at night and can be heard in the front rooms.

They even spoilt us with a goody bag for the concert and we got food at 1am from the nice barman... lovely hotel

It was in a good location by the tram stop. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and big bathroom! No mini bar in room. We paid an extra 10 euros for a superior room but it was no different to our friends' De Luxe Room, in fact they had a balcony.

I loved the space in the room , the giant bed , the cleanliness of the room , the beautiful tiled bathroom , the view was gorgeous we were at the front of the hotel , the staff were lovely , i have to say the pictures on the website dont do it justice at all it makes the rooms look small when infact they are HUGE , I booked this hotel as it was close to where we needed to be and i cant believe it was such a nice hotel , never expected such a nice hotel for a reasonable price in the middle of dublin . ive paid more for dingey hotels in dublin that do the job when you want to go to a concert , would give this hotel 11/10 and will definetly be staying again.

I found most of the staff extremely helpful and polite and friendly. The location was excellent for transport as it was a 2 minute walk across the road to Euston Station and also all bus and train transport, even Hop on Hop off tours. I was pleasently surprised at the room for size, comfort and cleanliness. For a tourist it is the ideal location especially for doing tours to Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, etc as they leave from Euston Station.Excellent value for money.

Very convenient for Luas and Heuston Station, nice location close to Phoenix Park. Comfortable and very quiet room. A minor point...but if breakfast is advertised to start at 6.45, everything should be ready at 6.45!

Comfortable clean rooms, big tv, nice to have a choice of a bath or shower. Great location. Reception area/lounge area is beautiful. Right next to Heuston Station. The rooms are a little dull looking. Have stayed in nicer hotels for cheaper.

Lovely hotel, good size room, very clean. Staff very helpful with advise on ways to get into the City via Bus or Tram. Had one evening meal in the Hotel restaurant food was great, so was breakfast, lots of choice. Suffered a little with noisy neighbours (walls must be very thin) and noise from passing trams
