Fantastic place, amazing views, divine cuisine, very friendly and hearty people
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, very welcoming, could not fault this accommodation.Would certainly stay here again.
Very friendly family run establishment. Made to feel at home and not worry about anything. Mums home made jams are the best. We have told everyone we know what a fantastic place you have.
Sorry we couldn't make our trip longer and enjoyed a few more days there.
Beautiful grounds and modern decor, with delicious breakfast. We really appreciated the warm wecome of coffee & homemade cake!
Unfortunately we were woken up in the morning by someone running up & down the stairs which was before our alarm went off!
Ashton House is well located for exploring the countryside and coast in Co Wicklow. The owners are very professional and attentive and this resulted in a very comfortable stay for us. The house is very clean and the breakfasts are a great start to the day. We ate lunch in the Arklow Bay Hotel and had dinner in Bates Restaurant in Rathdrum (recommended). We hope to go back to Ashton House soon! Thoroughly recommended.
Great location, lovely staff, clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view of the river and also 3 very cute ponies! Feeding the ponies some apples the next morning was a nice ending to a short but sweet weekend!
Stairs were really creaky and noisy so we got woken quite early with others heading down to breakfast room which was under our bedroom! But a very small complaint and not a big deal really :]
The hosts were really friendly and helpful. They organised taxi's for us. The cake and biscuits with coffee/tea upon arrival was very welcome and delicious. The breakfast was excellent and the room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable.
that we only stayed one night!
The off the road location of the bed and breakfast. The staff were very attentive,
There was nothing not to like.
Location, location, location. Catriona emailed ahead to confirm time of arrival and organised a booking at a great restaurant. On arrival we were greeted with a cuppa and delicious cakes much appreciated
Really warm welcome to this 4 room guest house. Intimate comfortable place. Catrionia and Shane very helpful and lovely. Breakfast choice very good and PLENTIFUL. Homemade cake each day waiting to be eaten. Lovely location. Excellent value for money. Definitely would recommend this B&B.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Stunning, peaceful surroundings. Caitriona and Shane are very welcoming hosts. Breakfast is excellent with a full menu, not just the usual full Irish that most places offer.
From the moment we arrived Katrina and Shane welcomed us with the extras that make you feel so comfortable - a beautiful day, a lovely cup of tea and home baking of excellent quality. It is a beautiful location just outside of the village of Avoca right at the meeting of the waters where the Avoca River starts. Tastefully decorated, cosy rooms and always clean and welcoming. We will definitely go back when we return to Ireland.
The setting the people everything was perfect. We will be back
Everything was perfect. Catriona and Shane were the perfect hosts. With their help and local knowledge we saw much more of beautiful Co. Wicklow.
Fabulous location, friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, comfortable room, lovely big shower, incredibly breakfast
Nothing to dislike here.
We loved every minute of our stay, from the greeting at the front Door to the coffee and Home made cake on arrival, and the lovely breakfast. and we got to feed the miniature ponys with a big bowl of apples great fun. Lovely people.
Shane and Catriona gave us a wonderful time in their amazing house and garden with 3 cute baby-ponys. Both of them took care of all our questions, gave us many recommendations and served a tasty and hearty breakfast. Truly one of the best B&Bs in Ireland!
... that we had to leave.
The room was very pleasant and thoughfully appointed. The cup of tea and home-baked cakes on arrival were very welcome, as was the introduction to sightseeing in the area - targetted around my time constraints. The room looked over a small field, with a couple of seats placed nest to the window, and it was very very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep.
Very friendly and welcoming offering tea and cake on arrival and the next afternoon. Let us know in advance to book at local restaurant as it gets busy. They rang and booked us in. Food was to die for! Breakfast was nice too. Loved the miniature ponies in the paddock at rear of B&B, very cute
The lovely cup of tea, coffee and homemade cakes on arrival was a beautiful touch. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Lovely welcome from Shane and Catriona on arrival - cups of tea and cake on the lawn -very friendly and helpful with local knowledge and their recommendations were excellent. Thanks for a great couple of nights stay at the Meeting of the Waters
Nothing at all
A lovely warm welcome. Remembered us from a visit 2 1/2 years ago. Fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend
Very warm and friendly with a beautiful location.
Shane and Catriona were very welcoming producing tea and homemade cake whenever we arrived back at the house. They also gave us helpful tourist tips. Breakfasts were great
