I could not fault anything. I would happily recommend Ashton House to friends and family, and return gladly.
Wonderful place to stay, we would have happily stayed a week. We attended a wedding locally and stayed out a little too late, missing breakfast. The landlady very thoughtfully left a tray outside of our door with orange juice, yoghurts and bacon sandwiches. I thought that was a really decent thing to do.

Couple were very welcoming and kind

Catriona welcomed us with home made cakes and a cup of tea, and made great recommendations of restaurants. We needed to pick up a friend from Dublin Airport early the next morning, but Catriona recommended a bus from the airport to Wicklow which meant we had loads more time to enjoy the area in the morning. It was such an idyllic place to stay. We will be back!

Catriona and Shane are excellent and welcoming hosts, allowing you to stay private at the same time. Wonderful breakfasts served, a lift to the bus in Arklow, the beds made every morning, a place to keep coming back to!

Very friendly family run establishment. Made to feel at home and not worry about anything. Mums home made jams are the best. We have told everyone we know what a fantastic place you have.

Unfortunately we were woken up in the morning by someone running up & down the stairs which was before our alarm went off!
Beautiful grounds and modern decor, with delicious breakfast. We really appreciated the warm wecome of coffee & homemade cake!

Ashton House is well located for exploring the countryside and coast in Co Wicklow. The owners are very professional and attentive and this resulted in a very comfortable stay for us. The house is very clean and the breakfasts are a great start to the day. We ate lunch in the Arklow Bay Hotel and had dinner in Bates Restaurant in Rathdrum (recommended). We hope to go back to Ashton House soon! Thoroughly recommended.

Stairs were really creaky and noisy so we got woken quite early with others heading down to breakfast room which was under our bedroom! But a very small complaint and not a big deal really :]
Great location, lovely staff, clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view of the river and also 3 very cute ponies! Feeding the ponies some apples the next morning was a nice ending to a short but sweet weekend!
