Although it is a nice hotel overall, it could definitely do with a bit of a revamp. The room was fine for what myself and my partner were looking for, but it was shabby in places. New curtains, linens and duvets, and better mattresses would give the rooms a needed boost. The location isn't fantastic, but the walk into the city centre was manageable. We did end up spending more n taxis than we might have had we chosen somewhere more central.
The staff were lovely, particularly those we deal with at reception. The ensuite bathroom was lovely, the power shower was particularly good. Zak's restaurant was bright, airy, and served great food. Breakfast was varied, tasty, and the service was great.
The hotel has the potential to be one of the best in Waterford, with a few changes here and there.
