We liked the breakfast because it was replenished regularly, it was very tasty and plentiful choice. The hotel was in a peaceful location albeit did not like the industrial estate surroundings which made it unlike a typical irish hotel. On making a complaint about a particular rowdy family, the Manager (Michael) offered his verbal apologies and offered us a complimentary evening meal in the bar as an apology. How the hotel management allow children to run riot around the hotel, using room amenities I.E. shower caps to play games with. Children should be under the supervision of their parents and when badly behaved, it should be brought to their parents attention and not ignored. The families should be barred from future stays if they cannot control their children.

coudnt say anything bad about athlone springs, staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, breakfast was beautiful, and the price of b@b was more then reasonable,i will return again and would recommend athlone springs to all my friends. keep up the good work!! only one small thing, could do with some sort of shelter for smokers,ie canopy, gazbo, not very nice standing at front door, especialy when all the rooms are non smoking now.

It is situated in what seems to be a small business park and you need to drive to the next pub/restaurant, although there is a pleasant cafe across form Super Value. Food was nice in the lounge but there does not seem to be any emphases on service, expect to wait about 20 mins to have you order taken and 20-25 mins for your starters (even soup) and you will need to follow up on desserts/coffee. Not a very relaxing environment.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for the weekend. It was a nice and relaxing experience. Staff were very nice and helpful, Very nice food served at breakfast and the bar food was enjoyable too. There was a live music on in the bar on the Saturday night. Swimming pool and the spa were brilliant. Athlone town was only 5-10mins drive away. Both of us would definitely go back to the Athlone Springs hotel. The TV in the room was very small and lacked some good channels and there was no fridge in the room, otherwise this was a lovely hotel

On check-in I found my room to lovely and warm. All staff were professional and friendly. Barfood was excellent as was breakfast and lunch the following day. Whilst the lighting in the room was conductive to Romance I was unfortunately there to work :( !! , so more lighting would be appreciated. Also for us ladies a light where the hairdryer is located is a must!

The warm, friendly welcome on arrival. Spacious rooms and the quality of the food both at breakfast and in the evening. The immediate location was not suitable for 'walks' and it was further from Athlone centre than expected.

Check-in and check out very quick and pleasant. Room was spotless and very comfortable. We only stayed one night but had a lovely time. We picked this hotel as we were attending a wedding at another hotel in the area which was way over-priced for just staying one night. We saved over 80 euro including taxi fares back and forward to the other hotel.

I have stayed 5 times in this hotel & have found the rooms, the comfort, the excellence of beds & bedding to be way beyond what I expected.. The Staff in general I found to be helpful, courteous & efficient..I would like to single out the Bar Staff...Paddy & Co who couldn't have been nicer or more friendly.. I was disappointed when for the 1st time ever I decided to use the Leisure facilities...The pool was freezing, the Jacuzzi only lukewarm & the Steamroom closed..However I found out that there was a problem with the whole groundfloor boiler system ... This can happen anywhere to anyone but I feel that a little word from the Staff on the Reception at the Leisure Centre would have saved me & a few others the trouble of undressing & getting dressed again very quickly after a brief shudder in the pool & a quick sit-in in the Jacuzzi. In fact the only flaw I find in the entire hotel is with the Leisure Centre Staff.. No smile or welcome or any sign of anyone entering the pool area on a regular basis except to arrive with a mop & cleaning up stuff 15 mins before closing up time. Having shared the Jacuzzi with a regular member I found that the lack of supervision or interest or in fact any sort of discipline in the pool area is a big issue..so maybe Management should take a look at that matter.... Having said that I WILL stay again as use of the pool etc is not normally part of my stay...But fixing that area up would make this a 4* PLUS hotel..

The leisure centre was brilliant. Our daughter went swimming for the first time and loved it. So handy having the parent and baby changing rooms. The rooms themselves were lovely and comfortable and clean. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Plenty of it. My one and only complaint was when we went for the dinner the first night we stayed we got a highchair for our daughter. And the next two mornings for breakfast the food that she had was still there. It had not been cleaned after each use. I ended up cleaning it myself on both occasions.
