Mattress was not very comfortable - needs replacing.En suite needs some attention - looks tired. No sign over washbasin to say not to drink the water - only saw this in the guest folder the day we left ! On checkout we were informed that card payments could not be taken as the machine had been returned as she was closing for the winter and we would need to pay by cash - this involved having to go into the bank (over a mile away) and leaving the money with her daughter in her cafe in Clifden - not a satisfactory arrangement as it not only delayed our departure but also relied heavily on trust for both parties. We felt like it was the end of the b&b season and the owner had had enough - perhaps should have closed earlier.
very friendly welcome by owner who was very obliging throughout our stay. Good breakfast with an excellent choice. Room was adequate.
The lady of the house was an amazing person. She was so friendly and loved to laugh. The bedrooms were so lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The house was so clean and it was only 5 mins drive from the busy town. We had no complaints whatsoever and would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone. We loved it.
WiFi was weak in our bedroom but fine in the sitting room.
This b&b seemed palatial in comparison to others these last two weeks. Bathroom was roomy and had drawers and surfaces to help us get our things in order. Great shower. Bedroom was huge. Margaret and Susan were welcoming and so helpful, and fun to talk to.
Best place on our trip. Thanks a million, Margaret and Susan!
Toilette was splitted between the bathroom and the room.
Very gentle service received by the landlady and her daughter.
Hostess was very sweet and helpful at finding a place for dinner. Breakfast was delicious.
Not to live in Ireland
The location itself is really charming , the building is really a “home” , the owner's sympathy “overflowing”; our room (a family room) was very large as the beds were, very well furnished and extremely clean; the bathroom was really like a bathroom has to be; the Irish breakfast
You are welcome like a new family member :) it was really nice and lovely :)
Bathroom a bit small.
The beautiful breakfast
We had booked two separate rooms intentionally, but somehow the host figured that we obviously had made a mistake and would prefer to stay in one big room instead. Well, the room was nice and she convinced us that we were better off there. However, as it turns out, she "had to" charge us the price of the two rooms, in the end it did not really feel like such a bargain. We ended up getting 1 for the price of 2! (And lacked the privacy we had in mind to begin with)
The room was nice and breakfast was excellent!
The host is very friendly and she's always concerned about the welfare of all guests.
very friendly and helpful land lady.
Margaret and her daughter, Susan, were so nice and helpful. The room was so clean and the meals were great. Margaret was so friendly and was a wealth of info. We hugged them when we left. They added so much to our trip. Thank you!
Good location, good breakfast, nice room
We had two chairs in our room so one of us didn't have to sit on the bed. The owner, Margaret, was very friendly, helpful and gave us good tips on places to go.
very nice rooms with a lot of space
