There was no heat in the room when we arrived and it took a long time to heat. |

Good value off peak deal. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Would not rate as a 4* hotel. Room basic but clean and bathroom fine (bath and shower). worth the off season rate. |

We liked the variety of amenities available in the hotel. The choice of dining from relaxed in the bar to the formal in the main restaurant. For breakfast there was not a very good choice for coeliacs. |

In general the hotel was most impresssive , we have stayed a few times in the past. This particular time we felt that the food was most disappointing at dinner, menu choice very poor, being so close to the sea i really thought that we would have had some good fresh seafood as we had had before in december, i had cod for my main course and to be honest it lacked flavour slightly undercooked and well bland. Food was most dissappointing i.m sorry to say. It would'nt put me off to stay there again in the future as i have had excellent food with you before. Don't mean to be critical just our opinions, and when you pay for something you expect a certain level. |

Nice location, very big room, very clean. it's the cheapest normal hotel i could find in westport, but still- after staying in a few different hotels in Ireland, this one was the most expensive one without anything special... |

Room was very clean and we had an excellent view of the water. Parking was plentiful on the street. The room was quiet. It was out of the way and by the time we checked in, all the shops nearby were closed. Price was too high for this hotel. |

I have to say the breakfast was very enjoyable & the hotel had a nice bar, we stayed during a particularly wet weekend and found the hotel quite comfortable as we passed the time. We asked the receptionist to change our room after the first night and she was very happy to do so, that was impressive. We had booked a non smoking room and found that both rooms we stayed in (we requested a change of room after the first night) to have a very strong lingering smell of stale smoke, so much so that we called into the nearby shop and bought a car deodorizer for the room, unfortunately this may be the biggest impression we will retain of the hotel. . . shame! |

Very well appointed room. Huge bed with comfortable gowns and slippers. Easy and plentiful paring with beautiful view from the seafront rooms. A bit of noise from one of the local bars was evident at night but not a big problem. Kids might be a prob for them. No internet in rooms but it was possible to get a weak signal from one of the suites. |

Location was excellent, it was very peaceful everything was on the doorstep. The first room we were given had the door already open the lock seemed to be broken, the room smelled very musty, and the toilet seat was broken. The receptionist apologized and gave another room straight away. |

I liked it's location and found the stay in the Carlton Atlantic a very relaxing experience. Small thing but they were short on suitable glasses in the bar. Not enough brandy glasses. Brandy Whiskey and Creme de Mont served in soft drinks glasses. |

The room was very comfortable and clean. I liked that there was coffee making facilities in the room too. The car park out the back. Too pokey, but surprising amount of spaces. The bar lacked a bit of character, I found it very open, a little sterile. |

It was great to be able to rent bicycles at a reasonable price from the hotel. The surrounding area had several nice places to eat. My partner and I came from Dublin to try to relax and get a rest for a weekend. The room we were given had interconnecting doors with the adjoining room, which were not sound-proofed, On the first night the staff could not give us another room and were unapologetic about same. The hotel room was advertised as having wifi on request but this was not available in our room. The service was poor and much of the decor was shabby and didn't relate to the photos on the website or my expectations of a 4-star hotel. Disappointing and over-priced. |

The friendliness of the Reception Staff. Also, the rooms were beautifully decorated. Food is excellent. No air conditioning in the bedrooms which means the window needs to be left open at night which is no problem if your window doesnt open out onto the delivery entrance......very noisey early in the morning! However it wasnt a real issue and didnt detract from the break. |

Beautiful! Large, clean, confortable room. The hotel is located in a good position, quite far from the center, but near a big parking, restaurants and with a nice view on the sea. |
