So much to list. Overall, the hotel just seemed out of date and tired and run down right down to every staff member we came in contact with. From check in, to the bar to housekeeping, everyone we met couldn't even work up a smile. We are friendly people and began to be so surprised by the indifference of the staff that we began to look for a smile, even greeting the staff first. No luck. The room was tired, and out of date, particularly the bathroom. We slept in several beds in the four cities we stayed in this trip, but only at this hotel did our backs hurt in the morning. The guest services book indicated that there were light snacks available 24 hours. I called the front desk to check and it was confirmed that they were sandwiches and available in the bar. When at 9:30, we went to the bar, I stood in line to get a colleague to speak to me (she was busy talking to a co-worker) and when I got her attention, I asked about the sandwiches. She told me the kitchen was closed and there was no more food available. I questioned her on the "24 hours" in the guide and she said she was leaving and so couldn't help me, but I should go talk to the desk. No one seemed to step up to take ownership of the problem. We gave up and had dinner from the vending machines.
Cannot recommend, in fact recommend you stay anywhere but here if your hotel experience is an important part of your trip.
I'm very sorry to say I didn't like anything. I booked it because it was the highest rated. I was disappointed to be 20 minutes from Ennis, but we had a car, so that worked out fine. We booked several hotels through Booking.com this trip and this was the only one I felt was not up to its reviews.
