We were attending a wedding on the other side of the town and did not know what time we would be finished. The owner very kindly brought the key to us (as we had no car) and was very friendly to us throughout our trip!!
Host was friendly and knowledgeable. Clean, pleasant, well equipped rooms. Good breakfast.
Owners Breakfast Location
We chose Augusta for the reasonable rate as it was a last minute booking. It's possible we may return some day. The owner and breakfast staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was nice and warm. The house has a nice old style character and guests from all over the world were staying there when we visited which was nice to see.
The tv had no channels only an rte station was tuned in but the weather could have been at fault there. There was no water for the kettle in the room.
it was a nice comfortable b n b the staff were friendly and helpful i would stay there again.esta n john
Muesli and breakfast cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit for breakfast. man of the house very helpful with tips on where to go to eat and see live music and other entertainment
It was so quiet that you had to whisper in your room as the sound carried everywhere. breakfast looked and tasted like it was pre-cooked as rashers and pudding were as hard as bricks. Wife was a tad abrupt in the mornings at breakfast
Oh where do I start, from the time I walked in it was like being at home, so friendly, clean, relaxing oh so relaxing. I hadn't slept properly in months and I slept so well in Augusta. I met lovely people from every part of the world and because of the relaxed atmosphere every body got on. Easy walk into the town. Thank you David and Stephenie. Anne x
From the Greeting to Farwell, this was as close as it gets to a home feeling.
There was nothing not to like!!
Food was excellent, staff were very friendly. Location about a 10 or 12 minute walk into town but a taxi home only cost £5 so that was good.
Room was small and dull (even taking time of year into account), bathroom and shower were tiny......you woudn't want to be a fat lad or lady anyway.
Location,comfort,peace and quiet,friendly staff,and value for moneymoney.
The breakfast was great & everything was very well-organized. Friendly people and very nice facility.
Location was further from Westport than advertised, which was important since we didn't have our own car. Also, room was very small & bathroom very cramped in comparison to other B & Bs we've enjoyed in Ireland.
Cleanliness, peace & quiet, adjacent to the greenway (purpose of our visit)
I'm not a big fan of guesthouses, I prefer the anonymity of a hotel but this place is certainly a close contender!
Parking, close access to Westport, great breakfast!
David is a really great host, fun to talk to, with lots of local knowledge. Nice lounge with plenty of local guidebooks available. Food was excellent.
Really nothing to complain about. The B&B is about a 5-10 minute walk to downtown, which others might find was too far, but we walked in for an evening meal every day. Also it is an easy walk to Westport house, which is a must-see tourist site.
The friendliness of staff. Location good could walk into town.
Rooms could have been a little more updated and bigger.
The room was extremely clean with a large comfortable bed. Good breakfast.
There was no WiFi or phone coverage anywhere in the house so we had to go outside to make a call. Staff were just about friendly.
great staff, very helpful
Friendly, charismatic staff. Outstanding full Irish breakfast and comfortable room.
Staff extremely helpful and very willing to provide advice on things to do in the area. Hearty breakfast and excellent value for money.
Noise from some sort of generator intermittently throughout the night! Also hair dryer wire had been taped to repair a break in the wire! It meant the dryer kept cutting out and it was so we hat dangerous. We did tell the reception staff in the morning who told us new dryers had been ordered!
Owners were kind and knowledgeable about plaxces to go. Breakfast was good.
Advertised as wifi. But only wifi in parlor. Small beds and pillows need refreshing. Small shower. Tiny TV.
very nice staff. price
a bit further from town than I thought. Can't walk there with an 80 year old mom.
i can only say i couldn't fault anything, dave was very friendly as were all his staff, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the LARGE bed was great, had a good nights sleep every night, parking was good, the breakfasts were good,it was local to town with a ten minute walk, and i would book to stay there again
The place was just lovely and I both will go again and recommend it to family and friends
The use of air freshners - 2- in the room. I did discuss it with the owner before leaving. It`s so sad that folk who smoke leave a trace behind and that I as someone with Asthma has put up with the use of these.
