The price is very good Breakfast included Wi-Fi included Various services included, like ping-pong table, tablet free, ecc...)
The temperature in our 2 rooms was more and less 15° at december. We advised about the problem, but nothing has changed, radiator in the room was NEVER (in our 2 days) hot. Cleaning rooms poor
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good.
Beds were hard, pillows were flat. No towels were given to use. Duvet was stained and very dirty.
I can't sleep in this place
I can't sleep in this place
The price, The location
The room was very cramped with two plugs in a 4 bed dorm. The wifi wasn't working whilst we were there. The bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
The room was absolutely filthy!!! I know it is cheap but bleach doesn't cost much at all!!!
location free breakfast (and surprisingly good)
-the WiFi did not work -credit card payment was not available and I was told I had to pay now - had to withdraw from AT which cost me money
Ok to be fair it's cheap.
Prison would be more accommodating.
Nice personel. Good service. Nice that we could have a free locker when the lock to our door was out of order. Quick service the next day. Clean and simple. Perfect located for strolls around the city for someone who likes to explore Dublin by foot. Breakfast was too much carbohydrates but great that it was free and free coffey.
The first night we had to sleep in a room where the lock was out of order. Breakfast was too much carbohydrates but great that it was free and free coffey.
Location to nightlife if good.
I stayed in a room with 5 friends including myself. We were only given 4 receipts at check in. We did not think this was an issue because the re-entrance policy to the hostel was not explained to us. When we came back later that evening, the man at the desk demanded to see our receipts, as that is apparently mandatory when coming back to the hostel. Luckily I had them in my bag, even though I was never told to hold on to them. We only had 4 receipts (because that was all we were given) and the man at the desk proceeded to rudely yell at us, accusing us of trying to sneak someone in, etc. Even when he pulled up our booking information and saw that we had booked 5 people staying in our room he did not change his tune or apologize. All in all we had a pretty bad experience with this hostel and I would never go back.
Good location. Pretty clean. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere.
Heating could have been on more considering the time of year. Free breakfast could have more variation. WiFi signal was very poor. Bed and pillows not entirely comfortable.
Close to the city centre, nice staff, free breakfast.
Tight bed, all the time disconnected from Wi-Fi, bathrooms are for men and women, also there was so cold there.
Bathrooms very clean at all hours. Room comfortable. Location good for bars on Camden street etc.
The location, friendly staff, free breakfast, free wifi and use of tablets...price!
Showers were a bit dodgy at times but never busy.
the location was OK and the place was clean the level of information at the reception for sightseeing and going out and the choice of brochures as well as the organised free tour with the guide coming directly to the hostel to take us on the tour
- the free breakfast was a joke, little choice and cheapest food you could find at Lidl or hard discount shops - We had a private ensuite two bed room the beds were old, the bathroom was a tiny shower room, the heater was not working and the walls and ceiling thin like paper so we heard all the neighbours (coughing, laughing, talking, walking etc) and all the rooms of the hostel are like this, with paper walls We were on the side of the street so lots of car noise as well. The pillows were flat and dirty, same for the bed linen which were smelly.
Nice stuff, excellent location
Could be cleaner and room could be bigger. I don't like showers in Ireland. Lift broken down - twice...
the location fairly good
the hostel is localized at a very good spot, and our room was quiet, and quite OK considering it is a hostel. the personnal (with a few exceptions) very nice and helpful.
the room smelled terrible (of wet socks, to be concrete). the heating didnt work (BUT we vere able to get an electrical one that worked just OK). the internet virtually did not reach our room. water in the shower could definitely be warmer.
The staff were the best. I asked for an extra pillow and blanket and was obligued. The guy said 'your happiness and comfort is my business'. That was nice. Relaxed atmosphere.. Im scatty and lost my key everyday. Everyday they gave me a new one without question/attitude or fine. Lockers to rent only 2per day and are massive. Im in a different hostel now and wish I were back in Avalon- only for the showers. I cant face 2more wks of cold showers
There was no hot water for a shower. I stayed there for 2wks. On a good day the water was barely lukewarm. At that it was waaay to cold to be comfortable. I complained. They said the boiler was broken. (Well fix it then!!!!)
Central location, inexpensive, complimentary breakfast.
No sheets on beds- made it feel pretty grubby. Small damp rooms. Slightly terse service at reception at times.
Ok price for Dublin Nice staff In city center - great location
Rooms are very small - place only for 2 beds Shower and cranes are not very easy to use Free breakfast is very poor
Whilst the sheets were clean the other bedding absolutely stank of body odour We paid 70 euros for a twin room which was basically a bunk bed with no safety rail so we put the mattress on the floor - given the tiny room no space to walk at all. No wifi reception in the room. Noisy people coming in late banging the walls, laughing and shouting till 4am. Bathroom water not hot, only very slightly warm and you have to keep pressing the taps to get water supply otherwise it cuts out after 10 seconds - very cold and unsatisfactory shower. Breakfast is white bread and cornflakes
clean. big common area. nice environment
WIFI sucks Kitchen close at 10 pm. 2 Euro per day to keep your stuff in a safe place. not really in the center
Pretty much everything, great experience. Will go only there for the next time!
Not actually, only mixed toilets and bathrooms were a bit wiered!
Very nice atmosphere, great location, helpful staff, cozy cafe downstairs.
The wifi was unusable 80% of the time - probably because of the number of people downloading, though it often didn't work even early in the morning..
Fantastic location, close to everything. Very quiet. Had all the basic amenities needed for our one night stay.
The extra surcharge for towels was unexpected. The wi-fi didnt really work all that well in our room but that was a minor inconvenience as it worked well in all communal areas.
