The other reception staff, a male, was a bit too impatient at check out, not even a "thanks for staying here or hope you enjoyed your stay or wish you a safe flight home". He did not even see us off the reception just sat inside.
Warm smile and passionate reception by Zinab the Front Reception staff at check in. She ensured we were comfortable. She was very friendly and not pushy.

no elevator since old building but no information in hotel's site. rooms near main street are noisy since windows are wood and old. there is no hanger in the room on the walls. you should have your own dress hangers. generally hotel costs are high based on the service given general in Stockholm
location is good.. breakfast was fine.

My "premium" room was right across from the 24hr reception and the bell you ring to gain access, barely slept a wink, double mattress on a twin frame. Not even a towel rack in the bathroom and I've seen paper thicker than the towels (1 each). Hospitality was awful, the manager ignored me as I requested to try and have something arranged for breakfast as I needed to check out early to catch a day trip, didn't even offer a cup of tea. She had no problem taking my €70 though. Very disappointed, not much more than a glorified hostel.

No toilett on there flor, it was broken in the three days we were there ... Not god!
Breakfast was great ...
May 14, 2015
Toilets were working just on the 1st floor while we lived on the last one. Which also didn't have a light.

Broken bed Poor lighting
May 12, 2015
The corridor had ragged carpets and damaged wallpapers. No safe place for your bags until checking in! Even though the window in our room was closed it sounded as it was open, wonder how cold the room is during winter...
The breakfast was great, my only wish is apple juice.

No real bad experience except I was in a room near reception so it was sometimes noisy and the radiator was on too often so the room was uncomfortable hot. Toilet was very small.
Very near the bus station and Connolly station. Not too far from O'Connell Street. Double bed was clean and comfortable. No problem with staff. Happy with breakfast.

Cheap, close to O'Connell street and the hop on hop off buses.

lots of traffic noise, and loud music at the front, one toilet for all rooms, small shower and sink in room, had to get my own breakfast as I was leaving early.
Reception staff excellent, clean room and clean bedding

This place is unbelievable. Found a long black hair in my breakfast, reported it to the staff and she picked the bacon complete with hair off the plate and gave me it back. Then when I looked at the plate in disgust, she offered to change it. By this point, I just wanted to leave. When reported to someone on the front desk afterwards, we were fobbed off with, "well, she should've changed it straight away." No apology was made until we came back later that evening to which we were given a card for 2 free Irish coffees at a hotel bar down the road but we had to use them after 9pm that night. I work as a manager of a very large chain and in all my years of service, have never seen anything like this. The room was like a sauna and even though we were booked into Avondale, they are affiliated with 2 other hotels on the same street so we got sent to another. Poor service. Poor hotel. No people skills.

The hotel was filthy and disgusting! I will never stay there again
April 16, 2015
Room was tiny but free breakfast and private room for less than 40 euro is a good deal
location good central to everything but even so neighborhood is somewhat dicey.
April 14, 2015
Staff was very rude and unfriendly when we checked in and throughout our stay. The room was very cramped and the window was completely broken and would not close; the street is fairly busy so we heard a great deal of noise. Bathrooms were almost completely out of soap and toilet paper the entire time we were staying there and was generally dirty.
Avondale Guesthouse is easy to get to from Dublin Airport and is in a good location. It is easy to get to various places around the city.

Very very clean, good breakfast, helpful staff

People at receptionist, they weren't very nice and the fact that they went to our room without telling us and change the bed while we weren't there. They didn't even provide us with this information, when we arrive at the end of that day, our things were on a different place and we had a new bed. They could had advise us of this.
Location and breakfast.
