Ballyliffin Hotel  

Relaxed and informal, friendly staff and a beautiful position - view of the sea from our room was lovely especially in the stormy weather!

Asked for a twin room - our room had a double bed and a single bed and the only alternative offered was a smaller room at the back of the hotel.

Run down and overprised for what we got!

It was close to the hotel where the wedding reception was. The receptionist and staff are very friendly.

During the night what seemed to be an alarm went off so I had a poor night's sleep.

Basic rooms

I liked the location of the hotel firstly,although our room was a little dated,but was well cleaned and maintained during our stay. The food in the evening as well as the breakfast was excellent.,as was the service both in the resturant and reception. We both enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel and the area,and would recommend a visit to any of our friends. Hope we can return soon.

Our bathroom sink was a little slow to drain away,and the floor tiles were slightly risen at the door,but other than that we had no complaints.

Welcoming staff

We had a room at front of the hotel which was noisy at night with people gathering outside to smoke, even though they have a private smoking area.

We were guests at a wedding at another hotel in Ballyliffin which was within easy walking distance so the location was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was ok. This hotel was good value for money. We did only spend 1 night here though.

Creaky flooboards! We had a late night on Saturday night and from about 7.00am on Sunday morning someone in a room above us appeared to be walking round the room continuously. I am a light sleeper so this didn't help. Also the hot food at breakfast was self-service.

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast choice was excellent.

Convenient for local golf course/comfortable room/good breakfast/friendly staff provided very good service.Excellent value/recommended.

Staff very friendly and helpful, room not the most modern but comfortable and warm, stayed with friends to compete in the very scenic Ballyliffin 10 Mile Coastal Challenge run and will be returning to stay next year( if my legs are still capable) Would Recommend

Günstige Lage zu Malin Head.

Heftiger Fettgeruch im ganzen Haus, Zimmer mit Fenster zum Dunstabzug der Küche im Innenhof, dadurch strenger Küchengeruch im Zimmer. Unserer Bitte nach einem anderen Zimmer wurde nicht entsprochen.

Ett mycket trevligt bemötande. Prisvärt. Rent och snyggt. Bra med parkering utanför hotellet.

The staff were excellent and the bar downstairs was homely and comfortable. Breakfast went on a little after the Sunday 10am time which was much appreciated! The bathroom and shower were very clean and nice.

The tiny double bed was uncomfortable and squeeked, the T.V. was tiny and we couldn't actually see it properly from the bed.

Easy atmosphere

The hotel was well located and very clean. The staff were friendly and the beds were very comfortable i had a great nights sleep

The rooms were very basic in particular the bathroom could do with a revamp and the lock was on the outside of the door . The price was high for such a basic hotel room and there were no toiletries in the bathroom not even soap, small television with only couple of channels etc Ideally we would have liked access to wifi in rooms

Le wifi fonctionne dans l'entrée uniquement. Pas accessible dans les salles du RDC ni aux étages. Le premier étage est une horreur car tout ce qui se passe au deuxième est entendu. J'ai eu la grande chance d'etre réveillée de 1h30 à 5h30 car l'occupant du 2ème faisait ses bagages et je ne sais quoi d'autre. Le sol bouge. En clair, ce fut ma pire nuit en Irlande en 14 nuits en changeant d'hôtel chaque jour.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we missed breakfast on the sunday morning and were given complimentary lunch!!

Felt that decor in bar and restaurant good however decor in bedrooms tired . Have just booked a 5 star in dublin for August at less cost
