We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food and the beauty of the countryside around the castle. |

Beautiful place to stay. Leave time to go on one of the river and lake walks, just lovely. Excellent restaurant or great bar food. The whole place is charming. The one night we had was the highlight of our 3 week holiday. |

Kathy was extremely helpful to us upon arrival after getting lost and based on the location of the hotel on the internet site driving approximately 120 km out of the way. She made a horrible driving and arrival experience into a very plesant stay. Thank you again, Kathy. As memtioned above, the intersite stated that the hotel was just outside the Galway city centre, SO NOT THE CASE. Seriously need to state that hotel is approximately 120 km outside Galway cite centre. |

Food very good but expensive.Good wine list and good prices.Breakfast excellent.Lovey setting and great place for walks ,very peaceful. Furniture in public area very tired and in need of replacement. The classic room we got was very small and would only pass as a 3 star hotel room.Very disappointed with the room as we had heard great things about the hotel. |

The surroundings, and we were upgraded to a superior room, which made it more enjoyable. We had a view of the river from the room. |

A warm and friendly home-away-from-home, Buttermilk Lodge is 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, so you can just park your car and easily walk to town. |
Rock Glen Country House Hotel is a beautiful coastal hotel on Ardbear Bay, just south of Clifden - perfect for getting away from it all. |
On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. |
On the Sky Road, ascending from Clifden, head towards the sea to find yourself in pleasant gardens. These are the gardens of the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel. Abbeyglen has 18 superior rooms. |
