Manor house charm, beautiful river view from my room. Old world decor throughout, attentive staff.

It is a bit remote and there are no alternate places to dine, but that also adds to the charm.

Always a feeling of relaxation and that the staff really care.

The staff and the accommodations were excellent! With the lake and the surrounding wooded grounds, the hotel had the feel of an old luxurious hunting lodge. Fireplaces lit along with the numerous rooms to relax and read a book or have a cup of coffee made you never want to leave. Upon arriving at the hotel, we realized that the tire on our car was going flat and the front desk gladly made all the arrangements to get it repaired quickly the next morning. My husband and I stayed at 7 hotels during our visit to Ireland and Ballynahinch was definitely our favorite!

Nice castle with overly friendly staff, tasteful rooms and nice interior, breakfast was the best we ´ve had so far in Ireland. The location is just perfect, on the banks of a small river in a beautiful landscape, near the cozy seaside-village of Roundstone, Kylemore Abbey in the wonderful Connemara Superfreundliches Personal mit wundervollen Zimmern mit Blick auf einen kleinen Fluss, in dem man auch angeln kann. Stilvolles Interieur, nettes Pub. Das beste Frühstück, was wir auf unserer Rundreise serviert bekamen. Kylemore Abbey und das malerische Fischerdörfchen Roundstone sind nicht weit entfernt...

Our castle stay was a memorable experience. The staff was extremely friendly, the castle and grounds were lovely, and the food was superb. The entire experience was all that we could ask for.

Tranquility, luxury, fabulous food, excellent customer service,magnificent setting and there is something for everyone at Ballynahinch Castle.

So peaceful comfortable homely and romantic.So nice! Lovely walks arond the area lovely open fires. Not over posh that you'd feel uncomfortble just lovely

A bit pricey.60each euros for dinner was a bit steep and that was without wine. You can have the same food in town for 25

This was a totally relaxing short break. Exceptional food, a great ambiance and very attentive staff. The countryside was amazing. Well worth the cost.

The view on the river and woods, with the fishing 'stands' in full view; the wonderful air, so far out into the countryside; the friendly staff, attentive but unintrusive.

This is a very special place to stay. It has all of the hallmarks of a top-class castle stay with the staff being in anyway pretentious. I would go there every week if I could afford it.

Warm atmosphere, attentive staff, good food and general ambience.

Bedroom carpet was stained and needed cleaning. Shower was warm but not hot.
