The atmosphere and surrounds of the Castle. The staff all friendly, yet professional, the food beautiful, the gardens and surrounding areas picturesque! We loved the experience. |

Enjoyed the food and the grounds and the delightful and tasteful decor of the hotel I think 8.30 is a little early to close the restaurant although you did , very kindly, make arrangements to keep it open until 8.45 to give us time to get from the airport. As a result the time given to us to choose our meal was very rushed. However the food was excellent! |

Lovely food, nice setting, comfortable clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. My room was downstairs and under the dance floor from the wedding. Not ideal if you wanted to have an early night. Very loud. I was at the wedding so it did not matter to me however my babysitters thought differently! |

The peacefulness and you felt like you were being treated like royalty all the staff we dealt with were great everyone was very helpful and friendly from Eddie when I checked in until the girls when we checked out, rooms were very clean and spacious, for our first night in Ireland it realy made an impression Breakfast could be earlier it got us off to a latter start than I want for the next leg of our trip, also directions to find you were a little differcult picking our way through Tralee. |

Overall good experience w/ few minor "ticks". Bldg exterior gives great "castle" feel when you pull up (just what my dad wanted!) though rooms were located on basement level in employee work areas, which was very disappointing; do not know how other floors compared but assume it would be fine. Rooms themselves were clean/large w/ nice antiques; bathrm clean/updated though tile wk not done well. Common areas (bar, dining rooms, living room, hall) all nicely decorated. Coffee/tea delivered to room very expeditiously both morns! Dinner generally very good (root soup & plum duck, yum!) though prefer more flexible menu as it was way too much food. Breakfast had problems though can be easily remedied. Was not explained whether continental food set up was part of hot breakfast; based on what other people were doing we assumed it was. Staff was nice though confused (more than once) about who ordered which hot meal; one in our party was served her meal well before the rest of us. We realized it belonged elsewhere after a little boy at another table was only one without a meal; when our orders came & server tried to give the party at our table who already had her meal another one, we directed it to little boy at the other table. Salmon scrambled eggs did not have even a hint of salmon in them as expected though were otherwise good. |

Wonderful place & a great room for a great rate. no complaints, but customers need to be aware of the family dog, a large English wolf hound, which has access to the dining/pub areas in addition to the lobby. |

Plenty of parking, bed was big and comfortable, newly remodeled. The food was good with the traditional irish breakfast. Smells musty and old, the new molding in the bathroom was poorly constucted. It is not really a castle, but more of a large 20th century home built in 2 sections that didn't look right together design wise. No wifi or internet in rooms. |

Balleyseede is elegant yet relaxed, a real country manor in a beautiful setting, beautifully appointed. The staff were efficient and professional, yet warm and welcoming. The chef is excellent. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra day, and will definitely stay there again. |

The castle was very welcoming and the staff was wonderful. It was elegant, yet unpretentious and felt like it was livid-in rather than stiff and snooty. We especially enjoyed the resident Irish Wolfhound that "guarded" the front door (slept on the doorstep !). Our stay was a dream come true at an affordable price. We would recommend for a bit more attention to details, i.e. beneath the bathroom sink there was a water leak, the bathroom window curtains and the carpet beneath the wall heater was layered in dust. The music during our stay was the same CD played over and over, and we would have welcomed a variety of Irish music. |

I loved the fact that it was a castle. The furnishings were great, the breakfast was excellent. The dogs were so friendly. I loved it. The TV remote was missing, and I prefer separate shaampoo and conditioner, but these were minor things. |

The food was excellent. The room was lovely. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere. They have 2 adorable dogs and i loved the way they are just hanging out in the house. On a Sunday, breakfast being over at 10am is a little early, especially the morning after Ireland winning the Grand Slam! |
