Just stayed the one night. Lovely guest house run by very welcoming and hospitable people. Would definitely recommend it. Excellent breakfast as well. Well done.
Pauline & Gerry are thee best hosts ever, providing a real retreat for their guests. The lodge is decorated with art from all over the world, each bedroom is sumptuous and cosy. The breakfast is the show stopper, stewed and fresh fruits, a selection of cheeses and smoked salmon. A cooked menu that caters for all, ample tea and coffee. Ballyvaughan Lodge is a real slice of luxury in the heart of the wilds of west Ireland
that we had to leave. trust us you won't want to either!
Owners are very nice friendly people.Bedroom was a bit cold and the heater was out of action but when this was mentioned a portable one was produced immediately and it was fine. Breakfast was great.Lots of fruit ,cereals smoked salmon full Irish or whatever you wanted
The hosts were amazing. So friendly and giving us advice on what to do around the area. The rooms were spectacular and very comfortable. The common rooms are decorated beautifully and feel like home. Everything was clean. The breakfast is not just one thing for everybody, but a fruit and cereal buffet, with a meal menu. Will stay there again, for sure.
Everything - Jerry and Pauline made us very welcome, they were great fun they couldn't do enough for us. Located in the village - easy walking distance for several pubs and restaurants. Superb breakfast. We will be back.....
Friendly and helpful owners, good location, very clean and quiet room. Breakfast is over the top!
Very pleasant accommodation, Homely atmosphere, smell of jam cooking in the kitchen, brought back old memories.
no cutains to pull. blind did not keep out the light, like a dark room. no plug beside vanity mirror for hair drier.
Easy walking distance to all in Ballyvaughan, great breakfast options, lovely owners, convenient to the Burren and the Coast.
Really minor complaint: the WiFi was nearly useless in the room, signal too weak, but worked fine in the common area.
Just about everything - friendly welcome, clean comfortable room, superb breakfast
Everything about Ballyvaughan Lodge was wonderful from the warm friendly welcome from Gerry and Angela to the fabulous room and the beautiful bed linen to the amazing breakfast next morning... one of the nicest/best B&B's I've stayed in
Comfy spacious room, top notch breakfast with plenty of choice.
A great little lodge run by a lovely couple. Pauline and Gerry provided the most beautiful breakfast each morning. Big hugs all around when we left. A must stay choice in Ballyvaughan!
Shower not hot enough
The whole experience was fabulous. All of the staff were superb.
Everything was brilliant, loved Gerry and Pauline - even the dog ! Great breakfast selection. Loved the layout of the house with top-class art pictures Added bonus of the mini fridge in the room :)
This is a 5 star B&B and not just for the accommodation but the warm hospitality and guidance given by our hostess. Everything from advice, directions, and helpful tips were offered. Plus the cloth napkins were a nice touch.
A really lovely place. The room and shared areas are beautiful, the breakfasts are great and the service as a whole is most professional as well as friendly.
The only downside was that the WiFi didn't extend well to our room but there was a public room which we could use to access it.
Welcome by Pauline Cleanliness Comfort Quality of Breakfast Quality of Sleep Proximity to village
This was a fantastic place to stay with a really warm friendly welcome. Ballyvaughan has some nice pubs and places to eat and is worth spending a night or two here. We thought the breakfast at Ballyvaughan Lodge was second to none - excellent! Pet friendly is an added bonus.
Everything was perfect!
There was no Wi-Fi signal in our bedroom most of the time or it was so poor that it didn't work anyway...
Good breakfast. Nice room. Helpful staff.
Excellent hosts in Pauline & Gerry Fantastic 5 star breakfasts Very comfortable bedrooms
Nothing - everything was excellent and it made our stay in Ballyvaughan a real treat.
The breakfast was excellent - loads of fresh seasonal fruit, local cheeses. The hostess, Pauline, prepared excellent hot breakfast. The scrambled egg with smoked salmon was perfect as were the other offering in the full Irish breakfast. The hostess and host, Pauline and Gerry were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful - giving good local tips. Location is excellent and there is ample parking. The room was spotless.
We just cannot think of anything negative about this place.
everything! owners were lovely, very friendly and informative on what to do in area. Breakfast is probably best choice and quality that I have ever got in a B&B, amazing range. Room was lovely, very tastefully decorated. the appearance of the B&B gardens with the flowers, gorgeous. 30 seconds to main st with restaurants, pubs and shops, 5 minutes walk to harbour. I will be back for a much longer stay next time.
The breakfast food and service was equal to any 5 star hotel. Best B&B one could ever ask for.
