The sitting room area in the Self Catering suite worked well and the staff were helpful. Though the bedrooms and sitting room were extremely clean, there was a very bad smell in one of the bedrooms. Opening the window didn't help as the fumes from the kitchen came in then. The food at breakfast was less than average.

Having Gill's fish and chips (best in Ireland) with a pint of Murphy's watching the Queen Mary ii heading out from Cobh from the Bella Vista's balcony - magic, breakfast was also very good. Now a word of warning about hiring cars. Read the terms and conditions very very very carefully before hiring a Budget rent a car, be prepared for extras, check the car carefully before taking possession and dip the fuel tank. Budget have proven to be the most expensive car hire we have ever encountered.

Room facilities were excellent and the staff could not have been more accomodating and friendly. Overall excellent value for money. Only complaint is that we noticed that the bed linen was not changed during our stay - 3 nights.

Nice view out the bathroom window. Staff was very nice. Close to down town. The first room given the door was broken. The second room was so slanted that you felt like you would fall off the bed. The bathroom tub was full of mold.

We stayed here for two nights. Location was excellent as we were meeting up with family to go fishing/boating. Staff very friendly and accomodating at all times. It was lovely to see the owner of this business mingling/fishing with guests. Rooms basic but very clean. 3 * rating appropriate for standard of accomodation and prices. Breakfast was lovely. Limited food choice as restauraunt only caters for chinese cuisine only. This resulted in us going elsewhere for food. A choice of soup/sandwich's/paninis would have encouraged us to dine there at lunchtime too.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, its location was ideal for the purpose of my visit, free car parking was a bonus as street parking is pay and display, and can depending on time of year be restrictive. The bar is cosy with great views of the harbour. Would recommend for short stay only but would advise that you view room before you check in. For a hotel, I was surprised that light bar food was not available, I was not impressed with the room (11) while clean, its standard bore no relation to the cost, which did not include breakfast, basically an attic conversion which only allowed you stand up in the centre of the room, would express concerns as to the suitability and safety of this particular room for paying guests. Would recommend for short stay only, and view room before checking in.
