Bella Vista Hotel & Self Catering Suites  

Spacious room with a great sea view. We were upgraded to a self catering suite which was very well equipped. Ideal location for visiting the tourist attractions of the town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar area was very cosy and the chinese restaurant attached provided a very pleasant dining experience.

Not suitable for people with walking difficulties due to it's elevated position overlooking the town.

The hostess was remarquably kind. You can insist on that fact, it is one of the reason I choose this hotel, having her on the phone earlier. She gave us hints about our planned trip to the north with excellent advise. I think the breakfast à 7.50 €/person is a bit expensive. The chinese restaurant, even not the cheapest, was good, has a good view on the bay and it is comfortable as we can walk to the room afterward. I will recommend it to our relations and family.

Very welcoming-staff most accomodating-nothing was a bother. The owner took time to talk about summer activities, gave the impression he had all the time in the world for us. The view over Cobh was spectacular. The Snug was decorated with 1870`s framed newscuttings of political events and that combined with the traditional Irish musicians entertainment ensured an unforgettable night.

There wasn`t anything I could complain about-our self-catering suite was so spacious I was only sorry we didn`t have the kids with us.

We loved the quietness and leisurly feeling of the hotel. We were made very welcome and all the staff were most friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have got a suite and this was excellent, very neat and tidy. Hopefully if we are ever coming to Cobh again, we will be booking in to the Bella Vista

The friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The price was excellent. The view from our room was lovely (no 12). Location is very convenient, near to the harbour, town and the cathedral. 24 minutes on the train to Cork City.

People with mobility issues may find the hill a challenge.

Staff were very friendly. Our hotel room was basic enough but clean and spaceous. Views of Cobh were stunning from hotel windows.

Having Gill's fish and chips (best in Ireland) with a pint of Murphy's watching the Queen Mary ii heading out from Cobh from the Bella Vista's balcony - magic, breakfast was also very good. Now a word of warning about hiring cars. Read the terms and conditions very very very carefully before hiring a Budget rent a car, be prepared for extras, check the car carefully before taking possession and dip the fuel tank. Budget have proven to be the most expensive car hire we have ever encountered.

tv.to small,no comfortable chairs to sit on in room not enough blankets on bed.

Lovely view from our room overlooking the cathedral and the harbour. We had the triple room which was ok, the beds were a bit hard. Staff were friendly and helpful.
