Un alojamiento bonito, muy cerca de Cork (unos 5 minutos en coche el centro). Un desayuno muy completo y de calidad. Nos ha gustado y repetiremos si volvemos a la ciudad.

Everyone was so helpful and making sure we were comfortable

There is a very busy road and as we were at the front of the house it was a bit noisy.

The B&B staff were truly friendly and hospitable. We had two young children (age 5 and 8), and they were treated with respect and kindness. The man running it spent a lot of time with guests helping them with their travel plans (what to do). He was laid back, and yet, really well-poised and mannered). The garden out back was gorgeous. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the woman who runs it was such a nice person. I would stay here again for sure if I am ever in Cork again.

The only slight ding is in the location. We are from USA, driving on the opposite side of road, in a big city with one way streets, and the City of Cork was slightly hard to navigate in rush hour traffic because it was almost impossible to find street signs. We got lost finding the B&B because we didn't go a good enough job locating its exact place on the map. So, it was our fault. However, we were lost for over an hour (at dinner time with two hungry kids in the car). Once we found the lodge, we realized that the location (with a car) was PERFECT if only we had spent the time mapping it first. Without a car, the location would be difficult to get into town center with two young children. With a car, it was the perfect reprieve from traffic and chaos. It was quiet and charming inside and outside the grounds (garden).

The situation: - just in front of a highly frequented road and a bridge - Too far away from Cork. A car is mandatory.

Free parking. Right on bus line to downtown Cork. Staff offered great advice on pubs and restaurants, and bus travel. Full Irish Breakfast included was outstanding. Very attentive staff. Was easy to get out of town and on with the trip from this location.

Other than being a ways from downtown, everything was great.

Very comfortable beds, quiet rooms and very nice staff. A bit far from the city centre but it was my choice as I wanted a very quite place. It felt so personal, not anonymous like in a hotel. I would like to stay there again.

Very clean and quiet room with friendly staff, good breakfast, and very helpful regarding transportation into Cork. We enjoyed our visit and would love to return with the rest of our family.

The walk into Cork was longer than expected and would not be practical for many. Informed staff on Saturday evening and Sunday morning was not as accessible as it could be. We had a problem with our transportation and needed some advice, and the weekend staff was minimal.

The facilities were first rate, in particular the bed and shower. Nice to have chairs in the room which was of a very good size. Breakfast was also of a high order.

The location was the only black mark although we knew this when we booked. Staff were happy to assist in where to catch the bus into town.

Rooms were really comfortable. Close enough to the city to get in, far enough out to avoid the noise. Staff were really friendly - as soon as I alerted them that the shower was running cold, not only did they fix the problem, but they had made plans to move me (if the whole property had not had the same problem!). Great breakfast crew and selection.

If I was staying there as a "city break", it would be too far from the centre of Cork - about 10 Euros into the city via cab.

The tea making facility & the little bars of kit kat, the big bottles of shampoo & shower gel. The comfortable bed, the little sitting room, late check out time, the fresh flowers on the tables, the homeliness & the lovely welcome I received & the beautiful garden.

I was unable to turn off the radiator in the room & couldn't sleep because it was too warm. I didn't like the idea that several people came into the breakfast room in their pyjamas. It was very offensive.

Room was large and on the two real beds the mattresses were good. Ok for one night. Think it caters more for business night stops not leisure.

It was cold, on a main road/rail and noisy. We were in the older part, noisy, banging doors and smelt of cooked breakfast throughout. Was not cleaned properly, hair on blankets, old french fry by furniture and ants in the drawers. Bathroom was cold, hot water intermittent, damaged door, door didn't shut well and dragged on the floor, ants and other insects entered through cracked tile hole. Had to ask for extra towels etc for 3rd occupant. Breakfast everyone raved about but was not relaxed, we weren't advised about the side buffet on the 1st morning. Lacked space so had to wait for a table, told 4 times that breakfast stops at 10.00. Produce felt industrial and not locally sourced.
