Best Western Hotel Rosslare

room dirty and cold shower not working 8mm gap in front door wind blows stright through both doors rattled all nite had to jam paper in door

The hotel was convenient to the ferry port, staff were very friendly and food very good

No showers in the morning as the ships had taken all the water,

The food was surprisingly good and there was good live entertainment in the bar in the evening.

The room was awful. It was really cold. The door was loose, which caused it to rattle all night and there was also the constant sound of running water from one of the radiators. The television was not tuned in propery and the room was well sub-standard for a Best Western hotel, which are normally good (I travel a lot so I have a lot of experience of hotels). Also, the internet access was not free, which again is not normal for a Best Western hotel. Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in for a long time.

There was no lift and help available to help us with our cases as I am 86 years of age and had to carry our case up an awkward staircase. The room while very clean was small and the central heating (the weather was cold) was off. Also to get the hot water for a bath we had to run the water for a very long time, a terrible waste of water. The breakfast was the poorest we had in all our stays, a very poor choise of cereals

After specifying a quiet room, we were placed above the bar, unbeknowst to us and were kept awake from 10.30-1.30am with the worst live music and drunken behaviour, then after returning home and complaining, the hotel lied saying that we were told about being placed above the bar! Bloody cheek, as if anyone would choose to have noise till the early hours!

The staff were both welcoming and accomodating. The lobby seating area was relaxing with a lovely cosy real fire . some rooms had balconies overlooking the sea which was really good place to relax. We would be happy to stay there again.

Food excellent in bar and staff very friendly and could not do enough for you.

No lift for disabled and corridors a little on the dark side. No control over heat in the room.

The food was nice and the view from the balcony was very nice.

The staff were not all that friendly except for one waiter. We actually dined in another hotel the second night. Over priced a bit. And to run out of hot water during a shower is not nice either

The hotel is very convenient for the ferry at Rosslare and provides a good service for travellers.

There was no a la carte offered in the dining room and the bar was very noisy with loud sound from television

We chose it because of the closeness to the ferry terminal and our need for an early start and it fitted the bill perfectly. The evening meal in the restaurant was also fully satisfactory for the whole family.

Pleasantnerss of the youg waiter in the bar and his efficency also the quality of the food was excellent

Room a bit squashed for four

Room was clean and comfortable. Very convenient to ferry.

Dinner was most dissapointing meal I have eaten in a long time. Some food overcooked to the point of being inedible. Would have been very pricey even if it had been perfect.
