I liked its location, comfortable rooms, a lovely looking hotel.. There was a Man at reception who was very very rude.. And I will be putting in a formal complaint with Bewleys.. I stayed there for the dublin horse show and as I had stayed there the previous year and had no problems I was shocked at the bad manners of the staff this year.. Cleaners trying to get in to clean the room at 9am in the morning and another lady knocking to doors at 11:45am on the day of departure.. We had already brought our bags to the car and were just having a final check to see we had everything out of the room.. But we clearly had 15mins left.. I felt like I had payed 127 euro per night to stay in a cattle mart!! Not to mention the further 36euro to park my car and the couple of hundred euro myself and my friends spent in the hotel on food and drink I am very disappointed with Bewleys this year and will not stay there again next year!!!

The Food was top class. We did'nt like the fact that the cleaning Staff kept knocking on oour door from 8.30a.M., this happened at least 5 times and once she actually came into the room, our check out time was 12 noon, and we were there to relax., Also the price of the car park is a bit crazy, I have never been to any hotel where I was charged for the use of the car park once I was staying over night.

We stayed one weekend in August; 2 parents and a one-year old baby. We liked the large garden in front of the hotel, where our kid could run around. Breakfast was great, but became rather boring on our third morning, as there is the same hot food every day (cold stuff - only yoghurt and milk, for cereals). It was also a challenge picking something our for our son to eat. We appreciated also the safe box in the room, as other hotels charge for it. We also appreciated the ironing table together with an iron, the water boiler (very useful for the baby's formula) but also the possibility to make tea in the room (tea bags and sugar provided); there was also a hair dryer in one of the drawers. Tom's bar has great food and the service (waiters) is also satisfying. These are only some remarks for the future guests, no complaints: no fridge in the room; the elevators were incredibly slow and its buttons do not tell you where to go (level 0 was actually the restaurant, level 1 was the hotel exit); we booked a room with a double bed and a baby cot and got a room with a double bed and a third extra bed - we were actually afraid the baby would fall off the bed during the night, but we solved it by placing chairs on one side of the double bed; our room was across the events hall and on Saturday there was a party, but the music wasn't loud and it did not bother us; you have to ask for extra towels - we had a big one and a small one for all of us; if you need toiletries, bring some with you, as there is only some shower gel dispenser on the bathroom wall; there is not enough storage space/cupboards (maybe only if you travel alone).

Likes: Parking garage and price. Dislikes: It's a maze to get from the parking garage up to the rooms, and the signage is entirely inadequate. We had reserved our room for 4 occupants, and we arrived to find only 2 towels. Breakfast is pricey, so were were glad we ventured out and stumbled across Roly's Bistro. Wi-fi access is limited to the lobby. Attractions are a far walk. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Location and transport availability in and out of city centre was excellent. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The overall internal appearance was a bit tired looking, and I felt this reflected in staff almost bordering on apathy.

Room very nice. Cleaning staff excellent. I disliked the offhand fake friendship of the reception staff. They seem to have the impression that they are doing visitors a favour. Visitors pay their wages so a little less indifference please and less in house cosy conversations while guests wait for service. " Are you ok there" is not the way to address a guest.

Quiet place, comfy bed, tea and coffee in the room, friendly staff, bathtub for phisically impaired (presumably, as we didn't need it) in every room, bus stops from/to the airport and from/to the center in front of the main entrance. Sheets way too hot, bathub uncomfortable for two (obviously), wireless not (as they say instead) in all the rooms.

breakfast-Eggcellent! Comfortable bed, nice room,a very good hotel all-round,thank you Bookings.com. Very bad lift service, only two lifts for a large-ish amount of residents, also the mean charge of £1-50 to bring my car from the street into the hotel grounds to collect my luggage on checkout

It suited us as we where attending a concert in Aviva stadium on the Saturday. The family room was quite small and cramped. It was fine as we were only using the room as a place to sleep. We did spend much time in the room

I liked the location best, this hotel is really close to the city centre and a 15 min walk to Sandymount beach. The rooms were a good size and clean. Reception staff were freindly and helpful. I didn't like the hotel cleaning staff coming into our room before 9am to clean - she knocked on the door and immediately entered the room using her master key - we didn't get a chance to respond! I addressed it with reception and they immediately called the person in charge of housekeeping.

I requested my 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and for the rooms to be interconnecting and was accomadated on both occassions. Hotel itself was nice, considering what I paid. Would recommend for one night with a family as they were very accomadating. Queue at reception to check in was mad....I Waited about 20 minutes to check in with young children, thats a bit much and that was a constant queue. Beds were not of the best standard, some springs were broke on them. The rooms are not sound proof as we could hear everything next door and outside the door. Went to the bar down stairs for food and although it was lovely, it was cold..Ordered a drink from a member of staff and after 20 minutes went up to the bar to order it myself as he dissappeared. No little shampoo or condition bottles in the bathroom and the soap was empty. Had to pay €10 for the car park (never had to do this before)..

I like the ballsbridge location. 8 euro taxi ride to top of Stephens green in medium traffic. When I go to town I alway price bewleys ballsbridge first. Sometime too dear and I move on. Room always good we usually travel with family so need family room. Bewleys meets my requirmnents perfectly. If I want a beer or something to eat the facilities are more than adequate. Overall my favourate spot in Dublin when priced in my budget. Very little to co mplain about. Room prices out of my budget sometimes if I book late or Dublin is busy.

Breakfast was good. Was quite annoyed that I had to pay 10 euro a night for the car as the reason I chose this hotel was because we were on a budget so I declined to have breakfast in the hotel on our second morning so compensate for the extra parking charge. I have never stayed in a hotel where I was charged for parking before and I felt it was a sneaky charge. The reception staff were a bit scruffy looking and I had to get my car park card replaced more than once because it didn't work properly. We were also allocated the wrong room originally. And the family room included a sofa bed which wasn't very comfortable to sleep on. So overall I wouldn't be inclined to stay again.

The price of the breakfast was too expensive. Complicated paying for parking arrangements, i.e. exiting the car park and returning in the middle of the stay can result in overpayment of parking

The room was excellent just what we wanted. Quiet, comfortable and all that we needed. The fact that it was close to the DART made it easy to get to the City or the seaside and other places was a definate plus. The breakfast gave every choice anyone could want. The coffee was excellent. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily. The cleaning staff were extremely polite and helpful. The Lounge was charming and a pleasure to sit in for a quiet drink. The building itself was beautiful. No instructions for use of the television ie. how to change the channels, or what stations were available. However, this is a small niggle as we came to see beautiful Ireland not the television.

Was very comfortable I did not like the fact that the price was hiked up exorbitantly because there was a concert nearby. I know hotels and airlines do this when demand rises but I think it is wrong because the product is still the same. If shops and pubs did this it would be deemed unfair practice.
