Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross    

Room was nice and good value.

The breakfast is a rip off. You get charged according to how many items of you consume so it can end up costing quite a lot but they say it starts at €8.50. I had the permitted 5 items for this price but was charged €8.75 and the following morning I was charged €11.25 for the exact same thing. When I queried this I was informed that the orange juice was extra! I explained I had this the day before then I was told this must have been an oversight. I complained at checkout and they told me they had a token system for full Irish Breakfast for €10 but I was not made aware of that in the restaurant or anywhere else. I don't know if this would entitle you to eat or drink anything else but I would not chance it. Very confusing and expensive to say the least.

The food in the residents bar was good value. The room was spacious.

My daughter who was on crutches was given a room on the fourth floor that was some distance from the lift even though the checking staff could see this!

Rooms were clean except showers had variation power control removed and tap in sink was loose (room 219) otherwise room was excellcent good supply of tea and coffee at all times.

As a diabetic I have a need for water and 4 euros for a bottle of water is simply robbery. Thank goodness for the garage across the road, but why should I have to leave my hotel for something so simple. I would prefer if the hotel offered a complete price for breakfast not charges on an individual nature, In this respect it does not compare the the Louis Fitzgerald 250 metres down the road. For 10 euros.

I actually booked this break as a gift for a young couple for their first wedding anniversary an gave my credit card details for payment.however when they arrived they were told it wasn't paid an paid up themselves.I Was totally gutted and embarrassed and had to ring hotel to sort it out.it was then reimbursed to their card and taken off mine.was a bad start to their anniversary weekend and an embarrassing incident for me.other than that they enjoyed their stay.

Breakfast was a joke I thought orange juice came with the breakfast but no an extra 1euro and 50cents and 50 cents for extra slice of toast...even guests at table next to us were shocked..they defenitly wont be returning and if I do I wont be having breakfast not in bewleys anyway....11 Euro .for breakfast and and they wonder why people dont stay there...wud this be why

Ideal location,good food,great buss on sat night,always liked Bewleys when we stay there,nice staff,and decent rates.

Location. I stay there regularily on business. By the time I get there I am only fit for bed and rest. Its comfortable enough for me and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, my partner accompanied me this time, Normally everything is is good and clean but we were put in room161. There was cobwebs on the hall ceiling, bedroom ceiling moulding and ceiling itself and the toilet flush was part broken. My patrner gave me an awful going over and wanted me not to accept it. I managed to survive her. Usually the rooms are in much better condition. You need to check this one out. Ok. I will still use the location.

The reception staff were very polite and very accommodating even when under pressure. A family member had allergies and was supplied with a non-allergenic duvet very quickly.

I couldn't fault a thing to be honest. Very pleased with the Hotel overall.

The residents bar closed at 12 - only back from concert at 11.50 so lost out. :( Shower door broken Maid came in to clean room at 9.25AM next morning - not impressed to be woken up then considering check out wasn't until 12!!!

The rooms were very clean.

Our room had a strong tobacco smell which is not pleasant when travelling with young children. The breakfast was very expensive. Awkward location when using public transport.

All was very satisfactory

I felt the family room was far too small, we had 2 small children and a baby and felt there was very little space in the room in comparison to family rooms in other hotels.
