The guy at the front desk was helpful and welcoming. Stayed for a night out in Galway Town and for what we needed the Hotel was pretty much on the money

Staff were rude, rooms were overpriced, my friends and I were blamed for making noise which was being made by a number of guests at the end of corridor.

The room was clean and cosy. Very practical family room which would accommodate 4 persons on short stays 3 max for longer stays. Unlike b &bs the bathroom was very complete and spacious. The room is furnished in a very practical way to store away luggage, leaving you plenty of counter space to read, place your computer or prepare sandwiches for your day out. Staff are very helpful and friendly as in the whole city of Galway. Vending machines in the lobby for snacks and drinks (24 /7) excellent! My first time using Travelodge but definetely not my last. When booking, no option for 4 people and the room could accommodate 4 easily for overnight or short weekends.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It was also possible to have a smoking room which was good as it avoids having to stand outside in the cold and rain. The room was initially freezing when we went in although it did heat up. The bathroom did however remain cold despite having the heating switched to maximum in the bedroom. The tv remote control did not work though presumably this would have been fixed had we informed reception. A number of items such as hairdryer while available from reception were not in the room. There were only two pillows in the room but again these could have been obtained through reception. There was not a telephone in the room to contact reception. Our stay was just for one night so none of these issues were a problem as we could have obtain anything we needed had our stay been longer.

I have stayed in the Travelodge hotels before,so as expected the rooms were clean but basic. On a positive note the parking was v convenient(right outside the door) and water pressure in shower was excellent. I stayed in Nov and though it was not cold outside the room was chilly in the evenings,it only had a small wall-mounted electric heater so was v slow to warm up. There was a charge of €5 for the Wifi which I hadn't expected.

About 2km from eyre square - around 8e in a taxi rooms cleaned daily 3Rd person sleeps on a sofa bed. Cant bring anyone into the hotel that hasn't booked in,even though you pay for the room not per person.more like a hostel in this sense. No shampoo or shower gel in bathroom. No fridge in room.budget prices but still payed 80e for the room for one night so would expect these small things as many hotels are this price and include shower gel etc.

It isn't all that far from Eyre Square, about a 15 minute walk. The breakfast was nice but we had to pay extra. Staff behind the desk were very poor, but everyone else was good. The room was beyond basic. We had to go buy soap and shampoo as they didn't provide any. The room couldn't be more basic, you could see where they once had a picture hanging from the marks on the walls but they've taken them down. For two adults we paid €92 then a further €6 each for breakfast - making it in the top half of expensive hotels that I've stayed at anyway. And it couldn't be worse value for money. But by far the worst thing about the hotel was the bed. So very very uncomfortable. They also took €80 out of my account and wouldn't give it back for 5-10 working days.

The staff that we dealt with were rude, especially Kieran (the night porter). There wasnt even shampoo or shower gel in the room. Would never stay there or at any travelodge again, nor would I recommend to a friend!

Room was very clean and linen was supplied. We got an excellent rate so very happy and the staff were friendly. There was also a cheap bar on premisis- all drink €3 we didnt actually drink in it but seemed nice :) We were put in the smoking area of the hotel, which was ok...but the stale smell of smoke was suffercating. You can smell it in the curtains and in the pillows! A bit of Frebreze wouldnt go astray!

Due to the fact it was high season, it was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area. All the others had hiked up thier prices, as did this hotel but it was still cheaper. You get what you pay for, so there is no hairdryer or iron in the room (available with a €10 deposit). Very lighyt bedsheets, no shampoo or showergel, just a single small soap bar. Internet useage was very expensive. For the over inflated rate of €65 I have stayed in much nicer hotels around ireland where all of these things are provided for free.

“The customer service was top class. I felt the main thing was that I didn't have to ask about things I was told everything once I entered the door. I was also highly impressed by the plesent manager behind the main reception. Although she was extremely busy she made us feel very welcome and even called a taxi for use immediately when we requested. Nice sharp quick service exactly the way it should be in a quality hotel. Thanks again Enda ” Enda, Edgeworthstown |
