Travelodge Galway  

Staff were very helpful - even into the small hours of the next morning. Breakfast was good and a good price too! Direct line to taxi company in reception only waiting 1/2 mins. Will definately stay here again!

The room was clean and cosy. Very practical family room which would accommodate 4 persons on short stays 3 max for longer stays. Unlike b &bs the bathroom was very complete and spacious. The room is furnished in a very practical way to store away luggage, leaving you plenty of counter space to read, place your computer or prepare sandwiches for your day out. Staff are very helpful and friendly as in the whole city of Galway. Vending machines in the lobby for snacks and drinks (24 /7) excellent! My first time using Travelodge but definetely not my last.

When booking, no option for 4 people and the room could accommodate 4 easily for overnight or short weekends.

Location and easy access to galway city. Comfort and nice food too!

Price is very reasonable and distance to walk into city is about 15 min.

Can be a bit noisy in hall in morning but nothing more than i'd expect from a budget hotel.

The fact it was so close to the city centre.

Everything was easy, short walk from town, easy check in process, straight up into the room, relaked atmosphere

Hotel was located very near city centre, no need for taxi (10 min walk), staff very friendly and room quiet large and very clean. Will stay again.

It was cheap. The advertising campaign was a scream- they implied there were gangsters sleeping off their latest "job" in the room next door. We kept the door hanger which said "You do NOT disturb this room, understand?" with a "cute" teddy bear in shades and a bathrobe.

It was obviously a "budget" option. I could have found something much more characteristic in Galway at only 10/15 euros higher. My mistake. I booked the room for 4 which meant one child slept on the day-sofa and one on the roll-away bed. I had a claustrophobia nightmare because the window latches had been locked to avoid suicide jumps! However, the staff were very kind and efficient with plenty of useful advice- that's why I gave good feedback points.

When we tried to gain access at about 1.30am we had to ring the door bell about 4 or five times before anyone arrived and when we did we were greeted by a very gruff person whom I think was eastern european and the water was very cold the next morning. As result of the above experience I brought it to the attention of the manager the next morining his name was Seamus he gave us an explaination of why his staff were gruff when we tried to gain access which I can understand to some extent but I still think would be nice and some politeness however he did offer us a complimentary breakfast which was nice of him to do so.

Breakfast was better than expected, nice full Irish and some self catering cereals.
