We were staying because of a family wedding. Wedding was wonderful. Fuction room was set up lovely and staff and food were excellant during the wedding meal. I felt the bar area looked a bit 'tired', could do with a face lift and i felt the selction of small white wines could have been better. |

Beautiful setting, nice clean rooms and friendly staff. No bus service to the town centre, and very expensive drinks! Pillows were rather uncomfortable as well. |

Big clean rooms, comfy beds, good food, hotel situated on beautiful grounds 11am check out (while other hotels are 12pm) have to pay extra 10 euro for breakfast, & staff that can't make eye contact or smile (small details but can make all the difference) |

It was comfortable and close to Castlebar town. Not enough restaurant staff (maybe not enough kitchen staff?) |

I was disappointed with the amount of kids staying at the hotel and I would not stay during term time again. |

It was easily accessible, near to the town and set in a beatiful country area with excellent grounds. The bar area was rather naroow. We realise there was a wedding going on and that there would otherwise have been bigger bar facilities. A large screen would have made watching the t.v. easier. |

Hotel pleasent good accomadation . at 87 euro incl breakfast would have been good had it happened . they didd deduct 20.00 euro after all the hastle we should not have had to endure . it was not the 20euro it was the embarassment at breakfast being turned away from dinning room and no attempt made by staff to resolve with rec They got the booking wrong .we paid for breakfast on site and where told it was not included . they would not accept our honesty and integrity in the matter . we where extremely embarrased by the whole episode . on booking in we asked reception to check booking as they told us breakfast was not included . they told us on two occassions they would get back . we went for breakfast in the morning to be told we where wrong . what ever happened to the customer being right . very embarrasing . When they got a copy of booking from the internet they continued to tell us it was room only until I pointed out it said acc 67 extra ie two breakfasts 10euro each . they then charged room to my credit card when I had paid the internet provider ie your site |

Breaffy House Hotel is a really beautiful Hotel on a fabulous setting. I still can't believe we hadn't come across it before now. We arrived early on friday and were allowed to check in earlier than usual, this was very handy as we could unload the car and head off around mayo. We didn't get a right look at the hotel until we returned that evening. The room was a fine size, nice and spacious with room for all of us. We ate in the restaurant that evening and it went down a treat from the choice of food to the service to the staff. The leisure facilities were excellent and the kids really enjoyed themselves. I left my ipod in the changing rooms and it was returned to my room with 15 minutes of us leaving, thanks to John. Mayo is a lovely county and Castlebar has loads to see and do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks a mil No mushrooms for breakfast! |

The pool and spa area was good, although you could not access it via the hotel as the door was locked. Appearance of Hotel looks very grand on arrival and in reception area, but very disappointed with room, very dated, bathroom small & although it was clean the room obviously had not been used in a while & strange nearly invisable spiders and webs especially in the bathroom where very offputting! We only stayed one night and didn't eat in hotel. |

We were with a wedding group; the service of 150 at the same time and the high quality of the food was amazing. Even though the staff must have been stressed out they still smiled! Telephone was broken. The taps in the bathroom sink were loose, not possible to open the windows without a key. |

We were at a wedding and everything was very efficient and the bride and groom were happy so that's great Yes, the clocks had been put forward the night before and there were no allowances made for checking out, and though we were only a few minutes late we had a phonecall to the room asking us if we intended checking out at all, also the cleaning staff knocked at the door at around 9.30 and when I opened it all the girl said was 'Oh' and kept going. |
