Staff were friendly, room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Tea/Coffee making facilities and in room safe. We didn't use the Leisure Centre so can't comment on that. There is entertainment in the bar. There is a Thai Restaurant in the Hotel which also does take away. Parking is free at the nearby Glen car park. The car park is a two to three minute walk away. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would probably stay again.
The hotel is old and therefore the floors are creaky. The hotel is on the main road through the city so there is traffic noise in the rooms to the front. Breakfast is adequate but is totally self-service.
Distance to city centre Spacious Bar No queue at reception Excellent Breakfast Friendly Staff Excellent Bar Food Free Parking
I know we were in the city with a wimdow onto the road but it did seem to be quiet noisy with the "Waterford on Ice" across the road, we could hear the music with the TV on, but it did finish at 10pm
Good location secure parking very comfortable bed the staff are very helpful and attentive
Bedroom facing the road very noisy from traffic and ice skating directly in front sounded like a disco in the room carpet stained in room hotel is in need of a freshen up it's a pity treaceys do not look at that and it feels like you are walking through an ash tray at the entrance with people outside smoking
junior suite was lovely. 25 a night to upgrade.fabulous
food was a bit bland
Hotel was very warm and welcoming and staff were exceptional
kids play area at back of bar
The atmosphere in the hotel and especially in the bar was perfect. Would definitely consider bringing my kids the next time!
Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Great pool and gym.
The building on the outside and inside did not look like the picture. We were a little disappointed by that. However, the friendly staff compensated for a lot of things in this hotel.
The hotel is near the train station, and near the city centre, they have a deal with a car park just few hundred meters from the hotel, this is good if you travel by car. They also have smoking room if you have this need! They also have gym and swimming pool in the hotel.
Internet on their wireless was not working. But honestly I have been in this hotel few times and this was the only time with this problem.
I loved our trip here. OIts so central and really confortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was beautiful and made use of the swimming pool and steam room
Parking being further away
There was a smell of cigarette smoke comibg through vents in ensuite
Good location frienly staff
Fire alarm went off at 3.30 in the morning . Very old type hotel inc people staying there. Not extreamly clean . Plus very difficult to find rooms
Leisure centre and most of the Staff were very helpful.
Ladies tiolets at back of bar were filthy last Sat. night. made a complaint and nothing was done. They were not checked on a regular basis.
Location and meals were the strong points. We also really enjoyed the pool area.
A few minor repairs needed in the room which really didn't affect our stay.
Loved the location. Love the bar atmosphere great, food superb, and the staff very friendly. Room was very roomy and the cleaning staff were very considerate!!! The spa and gym had excellent facilities.
Continental breakfast would have been nice. Other than that no complaints
The food was good and the location was good
The labyrinth of hallways, non-working elevators, wet carpets, price, very unfriendly to mobility issues
Bed was comfortable, good size room. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was nice..its all self service. Staff were pleasant. Downstairs live music stopped at a decent hour, which was much appreciated. Location is great. Overall l would, and have already recommended the Hotel to friends and Family.
Room was very noisy with the traffic, hard to sleep. I kept jumping up during the night to check if the windows were in fact sealed. Very poor reception on the TV. Ended up not watching it at all. No room service after downstairs restaurant was closed, unfortunately I only got in late and ended up not eating that night.
Leisure facilities Bar Quality of room
Layout of hotel Parking arrangement
THE REAL ISSUE IS THAT THE ROOM WAS LONG AND DEPRESSING DUE TO POOR LIGHTING. THE LIGHTING IS THE BATHROOM WAS EVEN WORSE. POOR NOISE INSULATION IN WALLS. PARKING CLOSES AT 10.00PM
Good location for visiting Waterford. Free parking in garage.
Rooms at the front very noisy beside a busy road, and the main route into Waterford. Windows didn't shut properly but no other way of getting fresh air anyway. Live music in the lounge below continued until 1130pm, and every note could be heard. Full of coach parties so a bit of a scrum at breakfast.
Very hands on management of the hotel. Staff were warm and helpful and I saw numerous examples where they went out of their way to assist and make our stay smooth and relaxing. I saw one lady front of house in the restaurant late at night yet she was there in the morning at breakfast keeping an eye and was equally cheerful and helpful at both times. Really got the sense of an all-round service and would highly recommend
the corridors are a bit warren-like into the bedrooms and leisure centre
Good location, staff were very helpful. Good facilities. Room was very quite.
Little bit grubby marks on walls and stains on carpets. Also receptionist s nails were filthy when i was checking in. Was told about free parking after i had parked in the car park where i had to pay
had to change room 3 times before i got a room with a river view.
Staff very accomating Retrautrant food gorgeous Lots of fun to be had in pub
tv reception is room was awful
