the staff were very helpful always smiling Rooms were clean
road noise in room TV channel were not good
This is not a 4 star hotel, barely a 2 star. WiFi networking barely working in the room; car park not convenient with a 10 minute walk away. Room extremely bare, no spoons , no fridge, minimum towels in the bathroom.....
The hotel was lovely, good facilities, good food, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rear lift and exit was very handy for access up the town. We would go back.
There was a rowdy enough group staying the same weekend, but having the rear access meant we didn't need to cross them much.
The bedroom was perfect and plenty of bed space. The children really enjoyed the pool and also the breakfast in the morning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The reception staff were very friendly & helpful.
The human faeces left in the toilet upon arrival. No hot water in both rooms we booked so we couldn't shower.
We were extremely happy with the staff, leisure facilities and breakfast and also how we were accomodated with the beds for our family.
The noise of the generator / fans all night long. It was difficult to get sleep. Also the top bunk had something sticking out of the mattress that kept hurting my child.maybe room 225 is not a good room for guests with small children as the ice skating ring had loud music on too. The staff were very nice despite all this and when I rang during the night although nothing could be done the member of staff was very apologetic. The following morning my husband was asked about his stay and he explained about the noise and the receptionist said she could change our room but we were leaving that day.
Staff where excellent and very charming to greet guests at any part of the hotel..
location was perfect.
the breakfast room was awful the corridors was really dull and the carpet was in very bad condition , so in need of a makeover , as where the rooms...we got room 207 and it was tiny , so dark and really dull in need of a makeover too and the bathroom was no better. would never recommend this hotel to anyone. we checked out of here about 20 mins later as we had found a nicer hotel down the road called the Glanville which was 100 times nicer and worth every penny. had a treatment in the spa of Traceys hotel and have to say it was a lovely experience and the girls were really nice too.
hotel staff very friendly bar food was good price and very nice. the playarea next to bar was ideal overall would come back again.
hotel decor could do with an update bed wasnt the most comfiest but did grand
Good atmosphere in the hotel
Bar food eg sandwiches soup etc not available on the Sunday morning
We were first met at the reception by a very polite young woman who made conversation and told us bout the hotel facilities and also the festival activities for the winterval . she also took our group photo for us in the hotel lobby. The facilities were great we had young children and the bus bunkbed was a great surprise for the children and also when we finished our day down town the adults were able to relax and enjoy a few games of pool and couple drinks while the children played in the play area until 22:30 over all it was a great experience I would recommend to everyone to stay. also great location and free parking thank you to all the staff we will stay again.
swimming pool/Jacuzzi+ able to smoke in bedroom
Resturaunt and bar were nice. Location was good. Staff very friendly & helpfull.
Walls very thin we could hear every noise from other rooms.
Friendliness of staff. compliments to Jonathan who showed me around.
Staff and food were amazing.
Room a little small but clean and comfortable. TV signal not great
It has been many years since experiencing excellent customer service like we did here. From the moment we arrived until we left it, enough couldn't be done for us. They went above & beyond to help a family celebration too. Clearly well guided staff by an excellent management team.
The location and reception staff very friendly
poor tidiness, observed in the corridor carpet, bathroom bad smell, fire alarms at the night; staff working in the bar not customer friendly, the bar table very dirty and its poor hygiene.
VERY CHILD FRIENDLY
The hotel would need a re-vamp in certain areas
Breakfast very good.
Bar food cold .
The one good thing we arrived early and we're checked in no hassle. The phone didn't work in our room no connection to the wifi and TV reception wasn't great. Staff were fine but wouldn't travel back again
Staff engaging and pleasant
Decor and rooms jsut seemed a bit tired and in need of a bit of tlc.
Good Price, nice lobby - helpful staff
really in need of modernisation, and quite shabby. To be fair - I requested a smoking room, but I have never encountered the stench that I did in a smoking room in any other hotel. I did not give feedback on this at the time though.
Friendly efficient staff, lovely hotel, good leisure centre. Overall very well run and convenient.
That I didn't stay longer.
Food in the restaurant bar and breakfast very fresh well presented and reasonable
Corridor mazes but that comes from all the extensions bought and added over the years
Staff were friendly, room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Tea/Coffee making facilities and in room safe. We didn't use the Leisure Centre so can't comment on that. There is entertainment in the bar. There is a Thai Restaurant in the Hotel which also does take away. Parking is free at the nearby Glen car park. The car park is a two to three minute walk away. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would probably stay again.
The hotel is old and therefore the floors are creaky. The hotel is on the main road through the city so there is traffic noise in the rooms to the front. Breakfast is adequate but is totally self-service.
