Staff were excellant and very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was excellant. Our room was next to the main road and was noisy. In the room when we arrived there was no tv remote, a light bulb was out over the window and the clock's battery was dead. The remote was replaced by the staff once I told them but I assumed housekeeping would change the bulb and battery the next morning but they didnt. There was no tea making facility in the room but apparently you must ring the front desk for tea. We were never told this by staff and found this out by reading reviews on this site after we arrived. In the bathroom there was no soap or showercap. Instead of soap a bottle of shampoo/bodywash was left on the counter to use.

Really friendly service, was made to feel at home as soon as I stepped in the door. I had tea in my room on demand in china cups! And with a truly delicious slice of home made cake. The bed was large and comfy [for me as a single traveller] and I could watch bbc tv. Free internet in my room So handy for the work I was there to do in Kenmare. Room was quiet and peaceful. Every member of staff I met was kind and friendly - makes such a good impression and gives the place a great atmosphere. For breakfast I always eat only fruit; your fresh fruit salad was delicious, so was the dried fruit salad, and the waitress brought me tea and coffee - a great start to my day. I will definitely be recommending you to friends, and next time I need a hotel in Kenmare I will come straight to you [I went to Kenmare Bay first, but they were closed] The meal I had in Caseys was also delicious. Thanks! Maybe the lights in bedside lamps could have been stronger - not as young as I used to be, need more light to read by!

Brook Lane Hotel is probably the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. We were looking for somewhere to rest and relax for a few days and after reading the reviews of all the hotels in Kenmare we decided on Brook Lane Hotel. It was a great choice because they provided everything we needed and more. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious and quiet, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Brook Lane Hotel to anyone and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Modern, very comfortable, easy parking, nice restaurant, excellent made to order breakfasts. Nice walking path into the old town. In decent weather, a pleasant walk. On the edge of town, away from the pubs and shops of the old village. In bad weather it would be a fairly long walk.

The staff at the Brook Lane could not have been more helpful. Pat was especially helpful during our stay. There was a slight change to our reservation due to a previous tenant not being able to exist their room as planned. The hotel put us up in another high quality hotel for the night, and then upgraded our room for the remaining two nights to a deluxe suite. The room was fabulous. Modern with all the amenities and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the bar, the breakfast and the restaurant. The food was so good that we ate dinner there several nights. The breakfast selection and quality was also excellent. The stay in Kenmare at the Brook Lane was the highlight of our week in Ireland. Thank you again Pat, and also Uma Brennan.

Fabulous boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Clean, comfortable, cozy. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. Very friendly. A perfect spot to visit all the peninsulas in the most beautiful area of Ireland. We extended our trip because this felt like our home away from home. Thanks Una! BTW, best brown soda bread in Ireland. Breakfast and bar has great food. Ended up eating there the majority of the time. Highly recommend.

Well presented hotel with nice decor, clean rooms and welcoming feel. Open fires, newspapers, nice bar and lots of cosy nooks to sit in were great. Breakfast menu had nice alternatives to the classic full Irish and lovely cereal buffet/muffins/fruit etc. A few small things that sprung to mind. There was no coffee or tea available in the room (we were told due to hygine reasons). My Dad is quite shy to bother people so only orereded it once from the room service as directed as he didn't want to bother anyone. Tray of used cups left in the room from evening until next day a bit in the way. Bathtub has plug right in the centre in the bath and is uncomfortable to sit on! Skeaky toaster machine in the breakfast room lessened the ambience somewhat. Besides this everything else was spot on.

We missed our first night due to sickness and hotel still charged us. Not good if you are interested in repeat customers!!! Service in breakfast lounge was mediocre at best with long waits. Also we requested a quiet room and were given one facing main street. Not quiet! Awful feather covers on bed that poked and were scratchy.

We didn't need to worry about the room, food, parking, noise, or other things that can make a hotel stay uncomfortable. We had the buffet breakfasts with the cooked breakfast option included. The fresh fruits, Irish breakfast, breads, teapots filled & replenished. The food was excellent, the bar was cozy. The staff was very accommodating.
