Spa and staff excellent really enjoyable n helpfull
WiFi never work once we left lobby ,beds could be bit more luxurious for the price
Loved relaxing in the lounge. Great food. Didn't have to feel guilty as it was wet and misty out. We loved chilling out in the spa. Felt totally chilled. breakfast was a real treat. Felt special. Very homely feel to the whole place.
Bedroom too hot. We overhead other guests saying this so hope it will be noted as made for poor nights sleep
I love the relaxing, comfortable ambiance of Brooklodge. This was my fourth stay and I'll be back many times more. Everything from the tucked-away in the mountains setting to the lighting, candlelight, fireplaces, decor, furniture to the spa and pool area facilities and staff contribute to the indulgent, relaxing environment. I love La Taverna Armento. The food in general at Brooklodge never disappoints- tasty, fresh, and wholesome, the wine and drink options are many and delicious, and the staff are exceptional and go out of their way to ensure your comfort and to accommodate their guests' requests. Many options for exploring the area (horseback riding, walking, visiting Glendalough) should you choose to leave the comfort of the village!
Reservations are usually needed for the Italian restaurant, and are not always available if you wait until the day of (or sometimes a few days before) your stay. The alternative restaurant, The Strawberry Tree, is gorgeous and has amazing food, but is more expensive and their menu has less universal appeal compared to the staples of an Italian-themed menu.
Grounds are lovely
The decor is old and tired. The room standard was very poor for the price charged, there was no robe or slippers. We had booked a double room and ended up with a room with one single bed and one double bed. The pillows were rock solid and very uncomfortable. The breakfast was way below par with a very poor selection on the buffet and limited choice on the menu. We were guests at a wedding and the food was really poor, it had been left sitting under the lights and was tough and inedible. Overall it was really disappointing and very poor value for money
The atmosphere the minute we walked into Brook Lodge was magical, cosy and inviting! The staff were great, the room was lovely and as guests at a wedding we had a brilliant time.
2 restaurants on the site. 1 fine dinning ..expensive! Second one completely booked. No food in the Pub or else. Hence no altenatives.
The spa was amazing. Couldn't fault the food the nicest I've ever had.
Spa , restaurant staff excellent , breakfast freshly cooked
Having to keave
Found facilities excellant very comfortable we also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. And lovely surroundings.breakfast was most enjoyable .We liked the friendly service.
Price of food and drink. Also during breakfast service we requested ketchup didn't receive this and no explanation as to why. Request appeared to be ignores .wasn't busy athe time.
Mostly everything just a little expensive for me and my daughter Really loved walking an cycling and using the hotel facilites food excellent will be back when you have a good offer with my sisters
Food was excellent, surrounding lovely
Receptionist rude and bar staff ignored our order and we had to remind her
The moment I stepped into BrookLodge, there was a relaxing Ambience, from the receptionists greeting to the waiters in the lounge who always smiled, all staff were helpful and professional in their code of ethics. I would like to specially thank the manager(from Arklow) in helping choosing the perfect room he was calm and professional and extremely helpful. The breakfast was delightful, natural flavours, organic food. The Italian restaurant was excellent quality and the décor very tasteful. The spa and staff were always attentive, and the water was checked for cleanliness consistently. The village is private, with wonderful short walks, I will certainly be coming back.
The Rooms could be updated. However the one we stayed in after an upgrade, was simply 'Perfect'.
Customer service Great food Relaxing Spa treatment
We liked the general ambience and chill out factor of brooklodge
We had visited before and had been allocated another suite and double room which we picked. we didn't get this accommodation. We didn't like the hot tub beneath our room given the intimate nature of the conversation shared with us
The food in both restaurants The spa
Surrounds, food, staff, Oscar the dog,
Fantastic location and beautiful food
The liked the setting of the hotel with separate restaurants and pub, and the green area at the back of the hotel is lovely to sit out in.
The staff were excellent at all stages however it was quite busy when we went to check in and I felt we weren't given the full information that would have been given had the reception staff been less busy.
Lovely place - highly recommend it
Room was a bit hot - air conditioning would make the place outstanding
loved spa and lesuire facalities, staff so helpfull and nothing was a bother at all. overall a great overnight stay.
sofas in our suite were very uncomfortable, but this was down to design of same. tv diffucult to get on initially.
