It was near from City centre
Our room (2x twin) was nice and had tea making facilities. Beds were comfortable.
Room smelled so strong of bleach when we checked in that we were worried. Luckily it aired out by the time we returned from sight seeing.
Loved the spacious bedroom & comfortable beds. Shower & bathroom clean.
The nets on the windows were dirty , also the windows themselves needed cleaning. Could do with a face lift.
Really good located(important). Nice stuff. Facilities.
Cold shower. Poor breakfast.
Considering we only paid £35 for one night between the two of us, you do get what you pay for and we knew we couldn't expect top quality services for that price, however, for what we did pay for it was well worth it. For just spending £35 you can't really go wrong. We were given help with finding the right attractions on the map and recommended restaurants and touristic spots by the guy at the reception. The bed was comfortable and the room was big enough.
The toilet was very small and the walls and windows are very thin so you can hear a lot of the cars passing outside and people walking along the corridors from upstairs.
To much noise inside the room coming from the outside. I couldn't sleep very well.... The room was not very clean when we arrived there. No wi-fi connection inside the room.
Location and price were great
No elevator, and we were on the 5th floor with heavy suitcases
No wifi in the rooms, beds need to chance no comfort at all , I heart my back :((
The hotel was very nice and basic but for the price I paid I got exactly what I needed and it is very close to the city centre so I couldn't of asked for better.
There were no lift facilities so do not bring too much luggage and I may as well of had a shower under the tap as supposed to the tiniest trickle from the shower which was very poor.
staff was friendly and helpful, location is good: near centre, bus stops, train station, bars in the area. Spacious, cosy common area with wifi. Ok for groups and globetrotters, not for business trips.
lots of noises: coming from the other rooms, airconditioning/ventillation from the courtyard, cracking floors on corridor, bad neon lights in bathroom. Room furniture is very basic. Lock on the door was lose, took some time to open it but then it seemed like anyone could get in.
Was actually a buget hostel. Said they didn't provide cots, even though it said they did on booking.com
Friendly and accommodating staff, clean, spacious room, pretty quiet, decent location, comfortable bed.
The sink didn't drain properly and the shower door didn't fit well. There were a number of flies, although to be fair they didn't buzz or bother us.
Cleanliness Polite and friendly staff Close to amminities/bars
Noise from the street and people staying upstairs. Meant i didn't sleep well
Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Lovely hot shower
Walls quite thin, could hear every move my neighbours made around their room.
friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, perfect location
no WI-FI, hostel and hotel combined in same building-some really suspicious persons was walking around the building
Nice size room, decently comfortable beds.
The location was ok and seemed like a good idea as it was removed from the Temple Bar area. We had hopes of just a decent nights' sleep before flying out in the morning. We get to the room, top floor and in the back of the creepy maze like building. All seemed good except the large bathroom had puddles of water all over the floor. We wind down around 10pm to sleep then we start to hear a voice, loud and young man-like, conversing in German, with occasional blood curdling screams, sounding a bit like he found his friend Molly along with several pints. He never stopped. His was a disembodied voice so there was nothing to be done. He likely wasn't in My Place, but this is indicative of the hostel location; cheap rooms and obnoxious kids. Even earplugs were no use when he started screaming at 4am. By 6am we had to leave. We prep to leave only to discover 1 bath towel and the shower's soap dispenser was empty. My dad and I made do with one hand towel, the one bath towel, the soap we luckily packed, and the leaking shower, as we didn't want to bother with correcting those minor but opinion making issues as we just wanted out. Guy at the counter seemed nonplussed by the room situation but did call us a wonderful taxi with an amazing driver. All went well from there. Dublin is wonderful and you get what you pay for. I prepaid with a deep discount for this room. Yelling kid aside this place is fair and a little creepy. I could have slept well if not for the noise due to location. Our situation was unique but an example of what you may run into.
fast wifi in the lounge
No wifi in the room
We stayed in the hotel on Saturday 13th September for one night costing £111 (€139). We were initially pleased with the cleanliness of the room but ultimately, we were extremely disappointed with the room that we were given for the following reasons; - When we turned the taps, the top silver cap kept falling off - The toilet was blocked - One of the locks on the window had been snapped off - The blind was very difficult to open, with the pull cord often snapping so with difficultly we had to try and reach it to close the blind again - We were woken up to the ceiling leaking above us at 6.30am, pouring water onto ourselves and the floor! We could have seen past most of these issues but being woken up at 6.30am due to a constant stream of dripping water onto my chest and bed is completely unacceptable. The only solution we were given was for one of us to change to a double room. As three young girls in a city that we do not know, staying separately was not a satisfactory option. Do NOT stay in this hotel! In fact, it is advertised as a hotel but it is definitely a hostel.
nice atmosphere good service kind staff
breakfast: three choices, but for a foreigner unclear;just serve breakfast for one price. do not make it complicated a brush to clean the toilet curtain to cover the window in the room
The breakfast was good value. The linens were good quality.
The bed was uncomfortable, sagged in the middle and squeaked. There is no internet in the room. The water pressure was poor. There was a fair bit of neighbourhood yahoo noise even on a Sunday night. We were on floor 5 with no lift.
Located close to the main attractions of dublin, comfortable beds and clean bathroom facilities
the stairs need some work you would think they were built by a drunk. one of the rooms had lots of flies.
Perfect place for those on a budget. Room comfortable and clean breakfast simple and satisfactory. Quiet a few young people staying hostel facilities not something I would be used to but no problems there.
Room next door occupants were a tad noisy after hours. But I was up quiet early and repaid the compliment lol ☺
quiet fast wifi good size room
The beds were great. the staff was helpful, pleasant, funny and accommodating.
Just the sink water pressure was crazy and the floor got wet every time we washed.
