From the moment we set foot across the door of this amazing Mews it was a fantastic experience. Dolores gave both of us a very warm welcome followed by a delicious cup of steaming hot coffee and Apple and Cinnamon Pie. The accommodation was lovely, extremely clean and the attention given by Dolores to all the guests staying in the Mews was exceptional. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and we travel a lot. I would recommend the Bunratty Castle Mews to anyone wishing to stay in the Bunratty area and to meet Dolores will lift your spirits as she is such a caring and warm person who makes you feel so at home - even putting hot water bottles in our bed to ensure we were warm and cosy at night. A very happy and memorable stay - thank you Dolores. Absolutely nothing.

Dorothy was an absolute gem and couldn't help us enough. We booked very last minute but that wasn't a problem at all. The food there was amazing, the bed very comfortable and thanks to the thick walls we didn't hear any of the other guests. It was simply a great place to stay. The Mews is only about a 1 minute drive from the castle so perfectly located. The only disappointing thing was the free Wi-Fi didn't reach into our room, but was available in any of the public areas.

Very warm christmas decoration Owner very pleasant Breakfast excellent We overnighted on christmas day, and the radiator was completely off from 22:00 to 06:00 with an outside temperature of 5oC. As a result the room was freezing...

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The proximity to Bunratty Castle and the Cliffs of Moher made this very convenient. We also loved the fact they had a "family room" that we could sit in at night instead of being cooped up in our tiny room. The tiny room and no closet.

My "in-bound" (to Ireland) stay at was most welcoming for this weary traveler, as I indicated in my previous review. However, my "out-bound" overnight stay was even better! I was able to relax and really enjoy the area around Bunratty Castle--I had "done the castle" on a previous trip last March with a tour group, but this B&B being just minutes away from Durty Nelly's pub (on the castle grounds) was grand. So my last dinner in Ireland was in one of its oldest pubs (if not THE oldest still-operating pub) and was absolutely lovely! However, it still didn't compare with my most excellent breakfast meal the next morning at "the Mews" to begin my journey home. So very convenient to the airport (just an easy 10-minutes drive to Shannon Airport, though you wouldn't know it from the lovely countryside around you), that I was able to sleep in a bit, linger over breakfast, and enjoy visiting about my Irish adventures this trip with Dolores, my host...who also made very sure I didn't need (or want) to eat again until I got home :) Totally NOT applicable--all was perfect in every way!

Loved the perfect rooms--each of a different scheme but all fabulous! The closeness to the airport was just about as perfect as a traveler from Denver, Colorado USA could have asked for. Incredible food prepared with much care in the morning--and you won't need to eat again until perhaps a light dinner/snack, so it's great if you're going to be on the go all day. However, the most wonderful part of my stay has to be my hosts and their family. I miss them still!!! Not applicable--all was spot-on, especially the care of my hosts.

Greeted at the door by a youngster in bare feet, had to ask where was the breakfast room, booked breakfast for 7.30. Arrived for breakfast at 7.15 to be told a cooked meal would not be available til 8.0am, cooked meal was prepared however but was burnt. Cluttered bedroom (cushions everywhere), not trusted with a teaspoon for tea or coffee or offered biscuits

The husband and wife owners where very pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The B and B advertisement gave the impression to me that it was near to the Bunratty Castle hotel - rather the actual location was about a mile down a country lane away from the castle etc. I needed to walk a mile down a country lane, largely in pitch darkness to get to the local pub for something to eat and then walk back - the road is quite dangerous - so would not recommend this place due to that. The rooms are themed - but whilst my room was immaculately clean - the only theme I could think about was the "Junk Room" as there was tatt as I would call it all over the place including the walls. There was no coherence to what was in the room nor theme. This place is way over priced for what it is and where it is.

Delores O'Toole is delightful. She & her husband were most welcoming & helpful. The room was comfortable & made available early to accommodate 2 weary travelers. The Irish breakfast was fabulous. Very nice place. Beats the big hotels anyway.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Very nicely decorated. The bathroom was small but clean and stocked with products. The beds were very comfortable and the castle was right down the street. Our flight in was delayed by 6 hours so we arrived early afternoon in the pouring rain. Dolores was so kind and helped us settle in and made us tea, told us about the area. She really took the time to welcome us. The following day we were planning a visit to Cliffs of Mohr, she gave us a map and told us to stop in Ennis and Lahinch to see the surfers before going to the Cliffs. We then went to the cliffs and then to Doolin for lunch. Finally all along the coast road and into Galway. All from her recommendation about how to plan the drive. A great place to stay!
