The food was absolutely beautiful. Wedding dinner also dinner night before dinner.
Bed was fine and big.
Very basic. Not enough towels or shampoo in bathroom. Only one shampoo between two people. Poor reception on television in room.
Nice atmosphere - staff very pleasant - bedroom clean and comfortable
Breakfast a bit disappointing - no tea or coffee pots to bring to table - very slow toasters - had to hunt for salt and pepper to bring to our table!
Had beautiful dinner in Kathleen's Bar. Fabulous comfortable bed
Breakfast - We were seated in what felt like a hallway. It was quite cold. The breakfast itself was only lukewarm
Loved exploring the castle just down the road; Loved eating at the Creamery just next door; Loved the live music and irish hospitality at Durty Nelly's next door to the Castle - all within a minute of the Hotel. Hotel was lovely and clean. Can see why it is particularly appealing for weddings. Room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Hotel was 6 euro bus ride from airport and 7 euro bus ride from Limerick whic was a great day trip out too. Airport buses start at 5.32 a.m.!
Couldn't get hold of a member of staff at reception late at night to put in an order for early morning continental breakfast ( as offered) prior to leaving the hotel. But it didn't matter I had a lovely time.
nice big room and huge comfy bed
The bed was very comfortable. Check in staff were very pleasant.
The toilet was a disaster for flushing. The shower door seal was non existent so the bathroom was soaked after a shower. The service in Kathleen's bar was not good at all really, staff were very pleasant when you went up to them but there was no table service or anybody coming around to see if we needed anything. But that's a small negative for me.
Room comfortable - enjoyed swimming pool and jacuzzi
Breakfast limited - with a few small tweaks could be better
Really lovely hotel. Big comfortable bed in a good size room. Loved the location as it is so close to bunrattys tourist attractions. Very pleasant stay.
Comfortable and spscioud
Nothing, all was jus fine
Room very comfortable and food excellent.
Bar area quite small.
Our Room was as cold as the greeting we recieved from the receptionist. The only friendly interaction we had from the staff was the server at breakfast offering more coffee. Apart from the location been close to Bunratty Folk park, there very little else to praise about this hotel.
Convenient to some nice restaurants. Breakfast buffet was quite generous.
Confusing facility to find one's way in. Not very up to date styling. Asked for a replacement light in the bathroom, but it never came.
The staff were very accommodating. We needed to have breakfast at 5:30 am and thus was arranged in advance and was on time. Great stay.
We have been to this hotel for the last 5 years we can honestly say that things are always as good or better than the previous year
Nothing to comment on fabulous place
Unfriendly receptionist. Small room. Headboard was shabby. If hotel was not full surely good hotel policy and good business practice, would be, to give a first time client (or any customer) a nice room. Nice room = customer would recommend place and possibly return. Shabby room = no interest in ever returning or recommending (a shabby room).
Excellent, welcoming staff at reception. All other staff encountered were polite and helpful. Warm cosy environment. Atmospheric Christmas feeling in general areas with Christmas trees, comfy chairs, couches and roaring fire. Room was spacious comfortable and warm, large bathroom.
Staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. It was genuine and not fake. There was a wedding on but you would never have known it.
The jacuzzi was broken but they did have bubbles in the pool
Lovely place bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff very nice friendly.
Friendly helpful staff
cold. But then the weather was exceptionally cold too.
It was a luxury hotel the first time we stayed plus the spa was great years ago ...
replace headboard with holes,3 star hotel not 4 hem curtains ,children can choke on strings- careless .... paint doors and walls paint entire walls staff take no interest in comment cards, follow up
Very comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing to dislike
Comfy beds (massive, double king?) Lovely spa, sauna, swimming pool, steam room. Rooms nice, breakfast was not bad, could do with more pastries thou, and option for porridge
Could do with a new coat of paint outside and for winter months another electric heater (was just one and rooms are large so hard to heat)
we arrived on a early morning fight into Shannon picked up our hire car and drove straight to the hotel intending just to drop off our luggage before driving on into Limerick for the morning, to our delight they actually had a room ready and allowed us to check-in (09.00). What a great great place, both hotel and Bunratty is a must place to visit. I know so many people who just head for Dublin, and miss this hidden treasure, you must also find time to visit the pool and the steam room. There are plenty of leaflets in the entrance area to inform you of all the local attractions. thanks to everyone at Bunratty Castle. See you again in August
