Beautiful location - with great sea views Efficient check in. Having booked an executive suite for approx three times the price of the special double rate we were extremely disappointed that the suite transpired to be nothing more than a mid sized comfortable double room. The hotel is having a laugh by describing this room as a superior executive suite and charging accordingly. The room consists of a double bed, two dining chairs at a tiny round table on which the breakfast did not even fit and a desk/dressing table in the corner.Hardly a superior executive suite and barely 4 star bog standard double room. Tv could only be viewed from the bed. When these short comings were pointed out to the staff member at reception desk his reply was that there is a hotel in Killarney with Suites as small as this!! Breakfast was disappointing in that it appeared to be cooked for some time before being served and certainly did not taste fresh. Would not be fooled into paying extra for the suite here again. Corridors outside the rooms very noisy as they were used as some sort of socializing/changing area for some teenage function on the night we stayed which was Dec 2nd.

The only reason I chose this hotel was the fact that we were attending a wedding that weekend and the reception was in the hotel. Therefore, it was a convenient location to stay. Being a 4 star hotel I we were disappointed that it had no facilities such as a pool, spa, sauna etc. For the price paid I would have expected more.

The view from some of the rooms is very good. There were so many problems during our stay. Just a few: 1. Receptionist was so confusing on checking in, offering various types of upgrade for differing prices. We would have ended up paying too much if we hadn't questioned the paperwork 2. We had two rooms. Both had windows that were either unable to open, or unable to close. 3. When were eventually moved, the next room had a radiators that couldn't be turned on/off, and holes in the floor. 4. Breakfast was poor with half the dishes empty. This hotel has the potential to be lovely. But not while they keep the same maintenance person.

The Location was superbe. Staff were very nice and helpful. Area beautiful. The hotel itself lacked comfort(other than the bedroom) and taste.Suitable for big weddings perhaps. There was a constant smell of food and we chooses to eat and drink in the nearby Bellbridge hotel. The foyer is small with some kind of a skin Rug!!on the floor which I found very offputting.Hence no where to relax..eg.read a paper etc.We really only used the hotel to sleep in..Fortunately we are out door people so were on the go all the time..However we had a great break and will revisit the area again..but will not be staying in the Armada again..Sorry.

Food was very good, and was fairly prced in my opinion. I thought the staff were very friendly. My room was very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the house Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon was superb and great value for money. For surfers, golfers, beach lovers it is an excellent location and no doubt would be amazing as a wedding location. Look forward to returning

A beautiful hotel with fantastic views over the Atlantic. The weather was so windy when there and it was so cosy looking out window to the sea. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Excellent, 8.8
Score from 87 reviews
“I thought the staff were excellent especially the receptionist Siobhan, very accomodating, very warm and friendly and so efficient, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others, I have stayed in many hotels before but this hotel would top the lot very relaxed, comfortable, clean and an excellent breakfast. I was attending a wedding in another hotel nearby and was accompanied by my husband and other family members who were all equally satisfied and impressed with the quality and service of this hotel” Agnes, Poles, Co.
