The house was very cold when we arrived even though the supervisor had left the heating on for our arrival. The sitting room has a high open ceiling which makes the seating area feel cold in winter when a house is not constantly occupied. When we eventually got the gas fire to work the follwing day the room was more pleasant.
The staff are fantastic and the house was clean & tidy
The whole place could do with a paint it is looking a bit sad. You should also have a think about the way you charge for gas /electric we were only there 2 days but paid over 20€
Ailsa was excellent and very relaxed. Walking to the village was ideal so location was perfect.
possible having some basic food stuff for the house if people could not get to the shop. i.e. some tea bags, drop of milk and a small slice pan.
The children's play area on-site and the roominess and brightness of the main lving area (4 bed house). The good heating system was much appreciated (especially in late October).
There were no working street lights on the access road into the facility, which is dangerous on a number of levels. A number of the bedside lamps had no lightbulbs/working lightbulbs.
Lovely holiday homes but a lick of paint outside wud have made a big difference. Staff were fab. Very comfy.
U have to clean and organize everything urself!!! The reception is not help at all! She said there is no cleaning staff -- so u have to do everything urself include mopping the floor and garbage。。 The worst cottage We have ever stay in the last 10 yrs! So upset! Not recommend at all..
All the facilities were more than we expected. All my group fellow were very satisfied.
Excellent House Brilliant facilities Conveniently located in the beautiful village of Ballyvaghan.
Great location right in the heart of Ballyvaughan village. Very well equipped and modern kitchen and bathrooms. Told our Dog was welcomed to come back by house keeper Ailsa
Evidence of a lot of past flooding/ damp in master bedroom en suite. Damp/ sewerage smell in en suite also
Very happy with holiday home, very reasonable and comfortable... house very clean and Alsa very helpful.Local shops and restaurants very good and affordable.
Outside homes could do with spruccing up, houses could do with being re painted.
House design excellence, clutter-free, very clean. Very easy for a family of 4 to keep clean, great for relaxation; good outdoor space, good outdoor facilities (tennis court particularly). In general, only minor complaints arise and these only apply to the general outdoor areas.
General landscaping around the overall development had an un-finished feel to it. A few damaged lighting bollards looks poor, as do a few damaged covers to gas meter boxes. More soft landscaping would really give the general area a lift. The kids playground caters for very young children but here too, maintenance could be better, while the tennis court net also needs maintenance.
It had all the facilities one would require. Great for a long stay, with a large group.
There were no basics like dish-washing liquid, sugar, salt etc. We had to hire towels, and pay extra for utilities, so it ends up being quite expensive.
Great location for the village and for touring the Burren Very close to the Tea Rooms - best in the world! Very good facilities for 2 people Great quality bedlinen
Check out could be a little later Additional charge for gas and electric is an irritation as it is unclear what the total charge will be but in the end the final bill was reasonable
Very clean. Standard of accomodation good, well equipted kitchen, 2 bathrooms and an en suite. Alisa was very friendly and helpful. One bed had a pillow case missing and Alisa popped one around right away. Deck and outside table and chairs for 4 with 2 chairs from inside was lovely and nicely screened from our neighbours. Easy 5-10 min walk into village or resturant on pier. Good accessibility to Burren, Doolin for ferry to Arran Islands and surfing in Fanore was great.
Wifi would have been a good addition to the house. The kids found the pillows a bit hard. We were 6 people so it was fine but the accomodation had 3 double beds and a twin bed room but the dining table and chairs was for 6.
Modern, comfortable house.
Great base for exploring coast. Ur local rep so informative and friendly willbe back and def recommend to friends
Nothing other than paint exterior of complex. Suggestion of being in NAMA
Everything was excellent
I think €250 for two nights plus the added expense of gas and electric is a bit on the expensive side
Good location and very comfortable.
Poor water pressure in kitchen, but not disastrous.
We immediately felt at home. This accomodation will be our first choice when we will visit Ireland again.
The cottages were excellent
Limited Television as on wet days very little to do locally and no internet
Great Location within walking distance of all amenities.Had a problem with water which was sorted after a call to Ailsa within a few hours despite it being a Sunday.
Only one complaint poor water pressure in shower other than that all great.
We got ripped off at Burren Coast Holiday Homes. After staying there for two nights in Jan 2014, just over 36 hours in the house, we were charged an additional $39 for gas and electricity! It was clear that these houses were not built very well, because we nearly froze despite having the heating on. We had to take the blankets off the spare bed to keep warm. At 140 Euro per night I would have expected towels, spare blankets, soap, kitchen towels and loo roll! I have never felt a need to leave negative feedback, but I feel obliged to warn unsuspecting tourists. Never again.
Good location in the village. Modern houses with good facilities.
The complex does need to be finished properly. If done it could be really nice. Downstairs layout is poorly thought out and furniture doesn't really fit the house but not a real problem.
The location is fantastic. The houses are well located in the lovely village of Ballyvaghan. They give easy access to the sights of the Burren including Fanore beach, Black head, Ailwee Caves, Kinvarra to name a few. The houses themselves are good, very clean and comfortable, with good coffee making facilities and dvd/tv.
The double height sitting room is noisy when kids are going to bed and grown ups want to stay up chatting. A bit more street lighting in the complex wouldn't go amiss. Its a pity the hotel was closed, it would have really complemented a stay in the houses.
